Where the crawdads sing

Hey!!!!
Giota here ! Yeap me and my husband have the same name! Panagiotis ( Giotis ) Panagiota ( giota ) since my husband is working endlessly lately and stopped posting at least for now I will make a post about a movie I recently since you liked my last review .
Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) dir. Olivia Newman from the book by Delia Owens
I start emphatically with the story of the film and leave the technicalities out. Clear female/feminine gaze in the absence of male gaze and sexualisation, which unravels huge social problems such as bullying, teasing, marginalization of the different, sexual harassment, power over femininities, stalking and control, the view that a existence, a body, belongs to someone other than she who brings and carries it. All this blackness springs from points of intersection of the isolated life with the social life of today. An isolation not absolute, but controlled, presented not as a choice, but a necessity.
Powerful message of empowerment to regain self-control and vindicate female self-defense under tones of silence, unlike "Promising Young Woman (2020)".
Man's relationship with nature and the environment takes up a lot of space in the story, emphasizing the harmony that comes from this close relationship and trying to break modern urban stereotypes about the evil hostile nature.
The timeline is set in the 60's, but it could easily be 2022 and 1922, and possibly even earlier.
Very good photography in terms of landscapes and interior design.
I didn't go crazy with acting and direction.

In general, don't expect strong overwhelming emotions for quick fun.
