The movie "Inside" deals with the story of a thief who seeks to steal valuable paintings, but he finds himself trapped inside a luxurious house, and he tries hard to survive in any way. Although the film's story is fairly simple, it carries with it many interesting ideas and questions.
The wonderful actor Willem Dafoe embodies the role of the thief "Nemo", whose performance in this film is considered one of the prominent and difficult roles that require high artistic talent. Dafoe himself is a piece of art, every movement he makes with his face and body can tell you new stories and inspire you with different feelings and thoughts.
Nemo is no ordinary thief, he is a thief who is very interested in art, and it seems that he studied art in some way when he was young. At the beginning of the movie, he had 7 minutes to steal a collection of Austrian artist Egon Schiele's paintings from a luxury home located in Brooklyn, New York, at the top of a high-rise building (called the Penthouse). He is supposed to steal the paintings and leave, but for some reason, the security system of the luxury apartment malfunctions, all doors and windows in the apartment are closed, and all means of communication with the outside world, including telephone, internet, cameras, etc., are disrupted. Nemo finds himself locked inside a luxurious apartment filled to the brim with paintings and antiques. Although we do not know much about the owner of the house, his personality appears evident in every corner of the house, as if he left his mark or a part of his soul everywhere.
The apartment in which Nemo finds himself seems like a lost land for him, and he feels bored in this luxurious prison, but he tries to deal with the matter with a mixture of seriousness and cynicism to survive. But, with time, Nemo unites himself with the place, becomes a part of it, In part of the film, Nemo expresses the idea that we must destroy in order to build, and this idea reflects his journey inside the apartment. The film describes a lost moment where you find yourself stuck, and talks about dealing with this lost land and its effect on your personality. The film tells how Nemo's journey changed everything you knew, everything you planned, everything you dreamed of, became stopped, On Hold, and you have to deal with this lost land that may bring something else out of you, may turn you into a monster, may turn you into an angel, may kill you, But it will certainly change you, over a certain period, without knowing what happened before or after, because those events don't necessarily matter.
