Der "Schachtürke" (Mechanical Turk) war eine KI-Betrugsmasche aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Der "Erfinder" Wolfgang von Kempelen behauptete im damaligen Österreich einen "Schach-Computer", einen Schach-Automaten, gebaut zu haben, der automatisch gegen Menschen Schach spielen könne. In Wirklichkeit befand sich aber ein schachspielender Mensch in der Maschine. Es war ein Betrug.
2021 präsentierte Elon Musk die ersten humanoiden Roboter Optimus von Tesla. Schnell war klar, dass es sich in der Demo um keine futuristischen Roboter, sondern um Cosplayer gehandelt hat. Menschen, die wie Roboter verkleidet waren.
Mittlerweile gibt es die Optimus-Roboter wirklich, aber es gibt Zweifel, ob diese wirklich KI-gesteuert sind.
Es steht der Verdacht im Raum, dass es sich in Wirklichkeit um "ferngesteuerte" Maschinen-Roboter handelt.
"Ferngesteuerte" (tele-operated) Roboter sind menschen-ähnliche Maschinen, die von einem echten Menschen aus der Ferne bewegt und gesteuert werden. Zum Beispiel mit einem VR-Headset, ähnlich wie eine First-Person-Drohne.
Es wird der Eindruck erweckt, dass die Roboter fortschrittlicher sind, als sie tatsächlich sind.
Das wäre auch nicht das erste Mal, dass bei einer KI-Präsentation geschummelt wurde. Auch Google wurde öfter vorgeworfen, Demos geschönt zu haben. Und auch OpenAI ist nicht ganz "candid", vor allem was Trainingsdaten betrifft. KI-Hype, aber trotzdem beeindruckend, was bereits möglich ist.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Denkt ihr, dass die neuen Advanced Tesla Optimus Roboter von Menschen "ferngesteuert" wurden?
ps. Auch "autonome Taxis" könnten in Wirklichkeit von einem Kundencenter in Indien aus gesteuert werden, ist mir gerade als Idee eingefallen 😂 Um die Interventions zu automatisieren.

The “Mechanical Turk” was an AI scam from the 18th century. The “inventor” Wolfgang von Kempelen claimed to have built a “chess computer”, a chess automaton that could automatically play chess against humans. This machine was showcased in Austria btw. In reality, however, there was a real human playing chess inside the machine. It was a fraud.
In 2021, Elon Musk presented the first humanoid robot Optimus from Tesla. It quickly became clear that these in the presentation were not futuristic robots, but rather cosplayers. People dressed up like robots.
The Optimus robots are now real, but there are doubts as to whether they are really AI-controlled.
There is a suspicion that they are in fact being “tele-operated”.
“Tele-operated” (remote-controlled) robots are human-like machines that are moved and controlled by a real person from a distance. For example, with a VR headset, similar to a first-person drone.
This gives the impression that the robots are more advanced than they actually are.
This would not be the first time that an AI presentation has been cheated. Google has also often been accused of fudging demos. And OpenAI is not entirely “candid” either, especially concerning training data. AI hype, but still impressive what is already possible.
