Endlich gibt es eine echte Social-Media-Innovation auf hive. Peakd hat jetzt seinen eigenen Mikro-Blogging-Service Snaps gelauncht. Auch inleo Threads werden unterstützt und angezeigt, aber es gibt ein fundamentales Dilemma.

Redundanz.

Das Problem kennen wir bereits von Leo Threads, das sowohl normale Hive-Postings als auch Threads unterstützt. Beide Konzepte unter einer Plattform unter einen Hut zu bringen, ist sagen wir mal herausfordernd. Aber nicht unmöglich.

YouTube hat es zum Beispiel mit der Integration von Shorts ganz gut hinbekommen, aber manche User nerven die Shorts, die im Feed zentral angezeigt werden, auch.

Auf hive gibt es jetzt noch ein zusätzliches Problem, @peakd zeigt gleich vier verschiedene Mikro-Blogging-Services an. Snaps, Threads von @inleo, Waves von @ecency und Moments von @liketu.

Alles in separaten Feeds. Ohne einheitlichen Standard. Ich wage einmal zu behaupten, dass das nicht die Lösung sein kann, nach einer anfänglichen Begeisterung wird das Feature kaum jemand verwenden, da es zu mühsam ist, vier verschiedene Feeds anzuklicken.

Dazu kommt, dass auch die ursprüngliche Hive-Plattform bereits Short-Content unterstützt und Mikro-Blogging-Plattformen wie X sich auch in Richtung Long-Content weiterentwickelt haben.

Wier zäumen das Pferd quasi von hinten auf mit einem zusätzlichen Service. Und haben jetzt gleich 4 davon.

Und es gibt noch ein weiteres Problem, das wir auf hive nur allzu gut kennen:

Content Discovery.

Content Discovery ist auf Mikro-Blogging noch relevanter, wenn die Menge an User und Snaps ansteigen sollte. Content-Überflutung.

Ohne Algorithmus wird es schwer sich in den Snaps, Threads, Tweets was auch immer zurechtzufinden und interessante Inhalte zu finden, die ohnehin bei Mikro-Blogging spärlich gesät sind. Anziehende Inhalte auf Mikro-Blogging-Plattformen zu schreiben, ist auch eine eigene Kunst.

Wie denkt ihr, könnte man das Dilemma der unterschiedlichen Services lösen? Ein einheitlicher Feed? Algorithmus auf Open-Source-Basis? Filterung nach Usern, Themen, ... Einheitlicher Mikro-Blogging-Standard auf hive?

Without an algorithm, it will be difficult to find your way through the snaps, threads, tweets, whatever, and to find interesting content, which is already sparse on micro-blogging. Writing engaging content on micro-blogging platforms is also an art in itself.
