Da stieß ich beim Jammen mit Freunden auf einen Hadern des Rock'n Roll; wir spielten ihn mal in einer einfachen Version.
Ich habe „Twist and Shout“ ja schon in den 70er Jahren gehört auf der legendären Doppel LP „The Beatles – live im Starclub 1962“. Es ist die erste Nummer der ersten Platte. Eine Nummer der Beatles, bevor sie ihren großen Durchbruch feiern konnten. Klar, dass ich dann die Originalbegleitung auf der Gitarre suchte und erstaunt war, wie einfach die geht.
Wenn wir als Duo Blue Gecko live auftreten, spielen wir natürlich immer wieder Coversongs. Da wird dann bald „Twist and Shout“ im Programm sein. Bis dahin: viel Spaß mit diesem Video!

While jamming with friends, I came across a rag of rock'n'roll; we once played it in a simple version.
I already heard "Twist and Shout" in the 70s on the legendary double LP "The Beatles - live at the Starclub 1962". It's the first number on the first record. A Beatles number before they had their big breakthrough. Of course, I then looked for the original accompaniment on the guitar and was amazed at how easy it is to play.
