Gehst du regelmässig in die Kirche?
Ich bin vor vielen Jahren bereits aus der katholischen Kirche ausgetreten. Genauer gesagt im Jahr 2007. In dem Jahr bin ich in die Schweiz ausgewandert und da dort die Gebühren unverhältnismässig hoch waren, nahm ich das zum Anlass diesen "Verein" nicht mehr zu unterstützen. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass ich 3 Patenkinder habe und diese wurden alle katholisch aufgezogen und damit ich bei den Feierlichkeiten dabei sein kann - als Patin doch sehr erwünscht, finde ich - blieb ich dabei. Allerdings konnte ich mich schon längere Zeit nicht mehr damit identifizieren.
Warum mich heute dieses Thema so beschäftigt, ist, weil ich ja seit ein paar Monaten in einem Chor singe, ein Kirchenchor. An sich nicht so meine bevorzugte Musikrichtung, aber ich finde immer mehr gefallen daran.😄 Und heute haben wir eine Messe mitgestaltet und ich muss gestehen, dass mir die Energie in dieser Kirche gefällt. Die Messen sind fröhlich, sinnvoll und heute sagte der Pfarrer sehr weise Worte:
"Achte auf deine Gedanken, denn sie werden dein Handeln.
Achte auf dein Handeln, denn es wird zu deiner Gewohnheit.
Achte auf deine Gewohnheit, denn es wird zu deinem Charakter!"
Das bedeutet jetzt nicht, dass ich regelmässig in die Kirche gehe. Allerdings gibt es mir Hoffnung, dass es in den kleinen Gemeinden auch durchaus gute Pfarrer gibt.

P.S.: Verzeih, dass ich im Titel nicht gegendert habe. Ich finde den ganzen Hype vollkommen übertrieben.

Do you go to church regularly?
I left the Catholic Church many years ago. To be more precise, in 2007, I emigrated to Switzerland and because the fees there were disproportionately high, I took this as an opportunity to no longer support this association. I have to say that I have three godchildren and they were all brought up as Catholics and so that I could be present at the celebrations - very desirable as a godmother, I think - I stayed with it. However, I have not been able to identify with it for a long time.
Why I'm so concerned about this topic today is because I've been singing in a church choir for a few months. Not really my favourite kind of music, but I'm enjoying it more and more 😄 And today we participated in a mass and I have to admit that I like the energy in this church. The masses are joyful, meaningful and today the priest said very wise words:
"Watch your thoughts, for they become your actions.
Watch your actions, for they become your habit.
Watch your habit, for it becomes your character!"
This does not mean that I go to church regularly. However, it gives me hope that there are also good pastors in the small parishes.
