I think if they could integrate all in one page Ui could turn nicer, like even youtube does on mobile... Sometimes there are polls there or also some community thread with a shared image and text infos, that you can expand to read... Besides videos, which would be the main posts in this case.
I think random stuff from people you follow could turn more interative, another issue is if this turn into too much flood or visual polution, but in this case it might be good options to mitigate that by user choice, since who to follow or how many is already one that impacts on it. What do you think?
