Das Flugtaxi-Startup aus Gauting bei München, für das unter anderem der Investor Frank Thelen medienwirksam geworben hatte, muss einen Insolvenzantrag stellen.
Letzte Hoffnung für das Unternehmen war eine Staatsbürgschaft, die der Freistaat Bayern in Höhe von 50 Mio. EUR auch gewähren wollte, allerdings nur unter der Bedingung, dass sich der Bund in gleicher Höhe beteiligt. Doch die Regierungsfraktionen FDP und Grüne lehnten das Vorhaben ab, sodass kein Staatsgeld in die Rettung des Unternehmens floss.
Visionen garantieren nicht immer auch einen Geschäftserfolg. Dazu gehören eine Menge Faktoren um aus einer Idee auch ein erfolgreiches Unternehmen zu machen. War hier der Markt noch nicht reif für diese Idee? Waren es andere Faktoren, die das Projekt scheitern ließen? Keine Ahnung.
Was mich in diesem Zusammenhang mehr interessiert sind die Finfluencer wie Thelen. Es gibt sie ja zuhauf, sie schießen aus dem Boden wie die Pilze im Herbst. Und Frank Thelen ist ja ein erfolgreicher Unternehmer, der ja schon bewiesen hat, dass er ein Händchen hat für erfolgreiche Investitionen.
Ein bekannter Name, viel Publicity in den Medien, daraus ließe sich doch was machen, hat er sich wohl gedacht und hat einen Fonds aufgelegt.

Erfolgreich sieht anders aus.
Zu mindesten die Investoren der ersten Stunde sitzen aktuell auf ordentlich Verlust. Frank Thelen nicht unbedingt, denn er bekommt ja seine Provision. Für ihn hat sich der Fonds evtl. schon jetzt gelohnt.
War aber aus Sicht der Investoren auch nicht der beste Zeitpunkt, den Fonds zu starten. Ende 2022 war der Höhepunkt der Nach-Corona-Rallye, von da ab ging es bei vielen Techwerten bergab.
Und wie ist die Performance bei all den anderen Finfluencern? Tja da weiß man nicht wirklich viel, denn Transparenz wird da nicht wirklich groß geschrieben.
Wikifolio dagegen ist absolut transparent. Wer will, kann dort jeden Trade nachvollziehen. Und wer registriert ist, kann jederzeit nachverfolgen, wie der jeweilige Wiki-Manager investiert ist. Das finde ich persönlich schon sehr gut. Am Ende muss aber jeder für sich selber entscheiden, welchen Ratschlägen oder Empfehlungen er folgt oder ob er sich seine Investitionsentscheidungen eben selber erarbeitet.
Wie heißt es immer: Geschenkt bekommt man selten etwas.

The last hope for the company was a state guarantee, which the Free State of Bavaria wanted to grant in the amount of EUR 50 million, but only on the condition that the federal government contributed the same amount. But the government factions FDP and Greens rejected the project, so no state money flowed to save the company.
Visions do not always guarantee business success. There are a lot of factors involved in turning an idea into a successful company. Was the market not yet ready for this idea? Were there other factors that caused the project to fail? No idea.
What interests me more in this context are the finfluencers like Thelen. There are plenty of them, they spring up like mushrooms in autumn. And Frank Thelen is a successful entrepreneur who has already proven that he has a knack for successful investments.
A well-known name, a lot of publicity in the media, something could be done with it, he probably thought and set up a fund.

Successful looks different.
At least the early investors are currently sitting on a good loss. Not necessarily Frank Thelen, because he gets his commission. The fund may already have been worth it for him.
But from the investors' perspective, it wasn't the best time to start the fund. The end of 2022 was the peak of the post-corona rally, and from then on many tech stocks went downhill.
And how is the performance of all the other finfluencers? Well, you don't really know much about that, because transparency isn't really a priority there.

And anyone who is registered can track at any time how invested the respective wiki manager is. I personally think that's very good. In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves which advice or recommendations they should follow or whether they should make their own investment decisions.
