Hola amigos de Hive, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes lo que fue la función de la obra de Blanca Nieves en una fiesta de una comunidad en mi ciudad, obra que realizo junto al grupo de Teatro Bordes en el rol del Rey Mamerto XIII. Esta fue nuestra primera presentación de teatro de calle, y una experiencia muy enriquecedora para nuestra formación actoral.
Hello friends of Hive, today I want to share with you what was the performance of the play Snow White in a community party in my city, a play that I performed together with the group of Teatro Bordes in the role of King Mamerto XIII. This was our first street theater presentation, and a very enriching experience for our acting training.
Este día tuvimos 3 funciones, una en la fiesta de la comunidad a las 4 pm y doble función en el Teatro Bordes a las 5:30 a 6:30. En el video pueden ver algunos fragmentos de lo que fue la presentación de calle, desde el maquillaje el calentamiento de voz y posteriormente la obra.
This day we had 3 performances, one at the community party at 4 pm and a double performance at the Bordes Theater at 5:30 to 6:30. In the video you can see some fragments of what was the street performance, from makeup to voice warm up and then the play.
Esta obra empezó con retraso puesto que un Santa Claus se tardó un poco haciendo entrega de los regalos a los niños, y teniendo dos funciones por delante estábamos en contrareloj, pero afortunadamente todo fluyó en el tiempo justo. Nos colocamos el vestuario en una habitación de una vivienda de la comunidad , nos maquillamos, e hicimos el calentamiento de voz para esperar a dar inicio a la obra.
This play started late because a Santa Claus was a little late delivering gifts to the children, and having two performances ahead of us we were on the clock, but fortunately everything flowed in the right time. We put on our costumes in a room of a community house, put on our make-up, and did the voice warm-up to wait for the play to begin.
Habían muchos niños, los cuales dan una energía muy positiva a la presentación, sin embargo, tener el control de grupo no es fácil, Pues nos pasó en presentaciones anteriores que los niños se salieron de control y prácticamente no dejaban que los diálogos se oyesen por mucha proyección de voz que tuviésemos.
There were many children, which give a very positive energy to the presentation, however, having control of the group is not easy, as it happened to us in previous presentations that the children got out of control and practically did not let the dialogues be heard no matter how much voice projection we had.
Al no haber camerino, utilizamos uno de los inflables y las cornetas de audio para ocultarnos los demás personas mientras nuestros compañeros estaban en escena, lo cual me parece que funcionó muy bien. Algo muy bueno es que los niños mantuvieron la compostura y aun cuando gritaban para interactuar con la historia pudimos llevarla a cabo de la mejor manera posible, es gracioso como los niños se meten tanto en la historia que parecen creerse todo lo que está sucediendo y entran en desespero cuando ocurre lo que ellos no quieren.
Since there was no dressing room, we used one of the inflatables and the audio bugles to hide from the other people while our partners were on stage, which I think worked very well. Something very good is that the kids kept their composure and even when they were screaming to interact with the story we were able to carry it out in the best possible way, it's funny how the kids get so into the story that they seem to believe everything that is happening and get desperate when what they don't want to happen happens.
Después de la obra, nos dirigimos a la casa de una de las residentes de la comunidad , quien nos hizo arepas con carne mechada como refrigerio, todos nos comimos 2 arepas, y finalmente nos sirvieron un postre de dulce de lechoza. Luego nos apresuramos a salir para llegar a la función de las 5,30 en café bordes, entramos con vestuario obviamente y fue gracioso que los niños que ya estaban esperando allí nos vieran pasar.
After the play, we went to the house of one of the residents of the community, who made us arepas with shredded meat as a snack, we all ate 2 arepas, and finally we were served a dessert of dulce de lechoza. Then we hurried to leave to get to the 5.30 performance at Café bordes, we entered with costumes obviously and it was funny that the children who were already waiting there saw us pass by.
