Nepalese Butter Chicken at the Benjamin On Franklin.

Several months have passed since I last met up with Elvin. He's an I.T. specialist with a particular interest in all things Apple related. Yes, I hold it against him. Chuckle.

Every 3rd week of the month I go to the Benjamin On Franklin Hotel for the "Thinkers and Drinkers in the Pub" meeting.

It's a respite from the craziness that surrounds me at times, but it's where Elvin and I meet.

There's usually around 10 other people that show up too but because of the gap between meetings there were 15 people there that night. It's an interesting mix of people from different backgrounds and it's usually quite a lively conversation depending on who's there.

There were people who were into orienteering and others who had worked behind the scenes with Hollywood Celebrities and they had hilarious stories to tell.

Elvin normally tries to encourage me to have a beer or two, but I have to keep an eye on my blood sugar levels so I politely turn him down each time.

He didn't mind having a drink or two himself.

Elvin and I normally discuss all things politics, I.T. stuff and my podcast (largely about where it can be improved!).
Feedback can sting at times, but it is crucial for improvement.

We perused the menu and settled on the Duck Spring Rolls for an entree and the Nepalsese Butter Chicken for the main course as it was the special of the day.

The Duck Spring Rolls were fantastic. There were four here, meaning two each, but the other one is hidden from view in the picture below.

The Nepalese Butter Chicken was also great, but you can't really go wrong with Butter Chicken. Or so Elvin reckons.

Then again, I haven't had a bad one yet so I am inclined to agree.

A few people had commented on my quarantine beard, one that I started as a joke hoping this mess would be over in a month or so. Then women started liking me with it. Shrug.
Where was this female thirst 20 years ago when my self esteem could have used it? LMAO.

A few others had complimented my dramatic weight loss. I assured them that it was done in a healthy way. Small regular portions of carbohydrates and exercise helps a lot.

I took a selfie.

The night wrapped up at 11pm and we decided to go to the Grace Emily Hotel. I couldn't stay long though as I had to catch a bus home.

The night was a good one and I learned quite a lot. I can't wait for next month. Before then though, there's another HIVE meeting at The Jade to talk about.

Until then,
thank you for reading.
