Today I want to share with you my first experience in an authentic Japanese restaurant, specialized in ramen. A long time ago I had the desire to make this experience, but I could not find an authentic place, so searching the internet I found the Magokoro Ramen restaurant, in the center of the capital of Portugal. So I decided to go and try this place and today I managed to share the experience with you.

El día de hoy quiero compartirles mi primera experiencia en un restaurante auténtico japonés, especializados en ramen. Hace mucho tiempo tenía las ganas de realizar esta experiencia, pero no lograba encontrar un lugar auténtico, así que buscando en la internet encontré el restaurante Magokoro Ramen, en el centro de la capital de Portugal. Así que bien dispuestas decidí ir a probar este lugar y el día de hoy les logre compartir la experiencia.

FIRST IMPRESSION.🧐

TOO MANY CUSTOMERS!!! That was my first impression of the restaurant, there was a waiting line outside the restaurant to get in to eat, we had to wait around 20 minutes to get a table, but, however, then I noticed on the internet that you can make a reservation... so if you feel like going to eat at this place, I recommend you to make a reservation or you might have to wait in line to get in.

PRIMERA IMPRESIÓN.🧐

¡DEMASIADOS CLIENTES!!! Ese fue mi primera impresión del restaurante, existía una fila en espera fuera del restaurante para entrar a comer, tuvimos que esperar alrededor de 20 minutos para lograr obtener una mesa, pero, sin embargo, luego me di cuenta en la internet que puedes reservar... así que si tienes ganas de ir a comer en este lugar, te recomiendo reservar si o tal vez tendrás que hacer una fila para entrar.

THE MENU.📖

Let's talk about the menu of this restaurant, I tried to search on the internet if they had an online menu to share it digitally directly, but unfortunately they only have the physical menu on site. As such and the name of the restaurant, this restaurant specializes in ramen, so if you come to the place looking for sushi let me tell you that you better look for another place, because in this place you will not find it. From ramen, vegan, vegetarian, chicken, pork, beef, mixed, sea protein, spicy, spicy, extreme, many options you will have to take your time to decide, I decided to order the same veggie ramen as main dish, my sister-in-law ordered a mixed ramen and my brother a curry dish.

For appetizers and drinks, we decided to order some vegan guiozas to eat along with a tea and a ramune, a refreshing Japanese drink. You can also order other Japanese drinks like yuzu, sake in different formats. I didn't have the courage to order one because I'm not a big fan of alcohol, but maybe on the second visit I'll try it.

EL MENÚ.📖

Vamos a hablar del menú de este restaurante, intente buscar en internet si tenían un menú online para lograr compartirlo de forma digital directo, pero lastimosamente solo tienen el menú físico en el lugar. Como tal y el nombre del restaurante, este restaurante es especialista en ramen, así que si vienes al lugar en busca de sushi déjame decirte que es mejor que busques otro lugar, ya que en este lugar no lo encontraras. Desde ramen, veganos, vegetarianos, de pollo, puerco, vaca, mixto, proteína del mar, picante, picante, extremo, muchas opciones tendrás que te tomaras tu tiempo en decidir, yo decidí ordenar de plato principal el mismo veggie ramen, mi cunada pidió un ramen mixto y mi hermano un plato con curri.

De entradas y bebidas, decidimos solicitar unas guiozas veganas para comerlo junto con un té y un ramune, es una bebida refrescante japonesa. También puedes pedir otras bebidas japonesas como el yuzu, sake en diferentes formatos. No tuve el valor de solicitar uno porque no soy muy fan del alcohol, pero tal vez en la segunda visita me anime en probar.

After a few minutes we received our vegan guiozas along with the drinks, such a long waiting time we had to get a table, we devoured the drink quickly. Along with the food, personally I really liked the appetizer, I was not expecting caramelized onions and that gave a delicious flavor to the guioza, it was a good mix. Now talking about the guioza itself, I think it was delicious, it was not one of the best I have ever tasted in my life, but it was still delicious. About the Ramune drink, it is a pretty strong drink, if you don't like drinks with a lot of lemon, I don't recommend you to order it because this drink has a lot of lemon, I liked it a lot, but it is my personal taste because I am a fan of drinks with lemon.

LA ENTRADA.🍱

Pasado unos minutos recibimos nuestras guiozas veganas junto con las bebidas, tal largo tiempo de espera que tuvimos para lograr obtener una mesa, devoramos la bebida rápidamente. Junto con la comida, en lo personal me gusto mucho la entrada, no esperaba que colocaran cebolla caramelizada y eso otorgo un sabor delicioso a la guioza, fue una mezcla bien acertada. Ahora hablando de la guioza en sí, me parece que estuvo rico, no ha sido uno de los mejores que he probado en mi vida, pero de igual forma su sabor fue delicioso. Sobre la bebida Ramune, es una bebida bastante fuerte, si no te gustan mucho las bebidas con mucho limón, no te recomiendo pedirlo porque esta bebida tiene mucho limón, a mí me gusto mucho, pero es mi gusto personal porque soy fan de las bebidas con limón.

THE FOOD IS HERE!🍲

It's time to judge the main dish that was my reason for visiting. In full view with our eyes, it certainly passed the test, it looks very nice, provocative and the smell is nothing to say, the moment you are served the dish you want to eat it with pleasure as soon as possible. The taste of the Vegetarian Ramen Miso was very delicious without a doubt one of the best ramen I have tasted until today, it had a unique flavor and without a doubt organic, the vegetables tasted fresh and the flavor was perfect, another curious fact that I really liked was the fried tofu that was found I do not know how they did to make its flavor unique and the way they fried it, since it was fried without any previous coating, without a doubt I have to try it someday. I wanted to share a picture of my brother's dish, as I really liked the way the dish was prepared, the chicken was fried and grilled in a Japanese way, the curry sauce was served on the side and the rice goes hand in hand with that sauce, my brother also devoured his dish without thinking about it, his review was positive about this dish, my sister in law commented that hers was delicious, but when I ordered it mixed, it had strong flavors so in the future she will order a single protein.

¡LLEGO LA COMIDA!🍲

Es hora de juzgar el plato principal que fue mis motivos de visita. A plena vista con nuestros ojos, sin duda paso la prueba tiene un aspecto muy lindo, provocativo y del olor ni te digo, en el momento que te sirven el plato quieres comerlo con mucho gusto lo antes posible. El sabor del Ramen Miso Vegetariano fue muy delicioso sin duda uno de los mejores rámenes que he probado hasta los días de hoy, tenía un sabor único y sin duda orgánico, los vegetales sabían frescos y el sabor era perfecto, otro dato curioso que me gusto mucho fue el tofu frito que se encontraba no sé cómo hicieron para que su sabor sea único y de la manera que lo fritaron, ya que fue frito al natural sin ningún bañado previo, sin duda tengo que intentarlo algún día. Quise compartir una foto del plato de mi hermano, ya que me gusto mucho de la manera que fue preparado el plato, el pollo fue frito y gratinado de una manera japonesa, la salsa del curri acompañada a un lado y el arroz que va de la mano con esa salsa, mi hermano también devoro su plato sin pensarlo, su reseña fue positiva de este plato, mi cunada comento que el suyo estaba rico, pero al pedirlo mixto, tenía sabores fuertes así que a futuro irá a pedir una sola proteína.

Now I want to talk about the space of the restaurant, it is a small place its architecture is designed exactly like a restaurant that you could find in any street in Japan, I thought it was very successful to give the customer an experience of an authentic place in Japan, not only the food you take as a dining experience, but also visually you get an authentic experience. From the bathroom to the ceiling of the place had reference of Japanese culture, very nice that makes you want to photograph, the place.

Ahora quiero hablar del espacio del restaurante, es un lugar pequeño su arquitectura está diseñado exactamente como un restaurante que podrías encontrar en cualquier calle de Japón, me pareció muy acertado para darle una experiencia al cliente de un auténtico lugar en Japón, no solo la comida te llevas como experiencia gastronómica, sino también visualmente obtienes una experiencia auténtica. Desde el baño hasta el techo del lugar tenían referencia de la cultura japonesa, muy lindo que te dan ganas de fotografiar, el lugar.

CONCLUSION.🍜

Gastronomically speaking it is a place worth visiting, the food I ordered was delicious with authentic flavors, even in the same menu you have the information that who prepares the ramen is a Japanese person specialized in the gastronomy of the country, and I can corroborate that, since the lady kindly went out to greet customers, she was very kind and her attention when she had time to go to check if you liked the food itself seems to me an excellent experience that shows that you are going to a place where the chef works for passion and not just for the money. I would also comment that the lady does not speak Portuguese well, only English and Japanese, but you have a waiter who speaks all three languages perfectly. I will definitely go again to eat at this place and try new dishes that I will certainly share here, obviously I will try to make a reservation if possible, as the waiting time is very annoying.

CONCLUSIÓN.🍜

Gastronómicamente hablando es un lugar que vale la pena visitar, la comida que solicite fue deliciosa con sabores auténticos, incluso en el mismo menú tienes la información que quien prepara los rámenes es una persona japonesa especializada en la gastronomía del país, y eso lo puedo corroborar, ya que amablemente la señora salía a saludar a los clientes, fue muy amable y su atención cuando tenía tiempo a ir a verificar si te gusto la comida por sí misma me parece una experiencia excelente que demuestra que estás yendo a un lugar donde el chef trabaja por pasión y no solo por el dinero. También comento que la señora no habla bien portugués, solo inglés y japonés, pero tienes un mesero que habla perfectamente los tres idiomas. Sin duda volveré a ir a comer en este lugar y pobrar nuevos platos que sin duda compartiré aquí, obviamente intentaré hacer una reserva si es posible, ya que el tiempo de espera es muy molesto.
