Recipe: make purple sweet potato Salak Seed Porridge very soft

Have you ever heard of salak seed porridge? Not true salak seeds, of course, because the pulp of salak seeds is a term because of the floury bumps that resemble seeds, so the term salak seeds emerged. Salak seeds can be made from tapioca flour or glutinous rice flour or can also be mixed with sweet potato, pumpkin, potato or fruit according to your taste. And coincidentally, because my purple sweet potato stock was still there, I made this purple sweet potato salak seed recipe so I can share it with all Hive friends in this community.



There is no specific recipe for making this porridge and the time it takes to make this porridge is not too time consuming, I can finish making this porridge in less than 30 minutes, maybe if you are more professional than me then you will be able to finish This porridge is faster than me. And this porridge is very suitable to be enjoyed while it is still hot or after it is cold, especially if it has been placed in the refrigerator, it tastes very good. Ingredients for making Salak Seeds


1. 200 grams of sweet potato

2. 1 cup glutinous rice flour

3. 100 grams of palm sugar

4. 1 tablespoon Tapioca flour

5. A quarter cup of water (to mix the dough)

6. 100 ml Water

How to make :


1. Peel the sweet potato and wash it clean

2. Boil/steam the sweet potato for about 10 minutes so that the sweet potato is soft

3. After the sweet potato is cooked drain, and let it rest for a while

4. Puree the purple sweet potato, if I use a cup

5. Once smooth, add the glutinous rice flour and mix until smooth

6. If the dough is still dispersed or has not been able to come together add little by little water.

7. Keep stirring until the mixture is evenly mixed
8. After that make small balls until all the dough runs out.

9. Heat the water

10. After the water boils, add the dough balls

11. Remove when the balls have risen to the surface of the water, and less than 1 minute, because the sweet potato is already cooked.

12. After the small balls are used up, remove and drain
13. Heat 100ml of water

14. Dissolve with a little water 1 tablespoon of flour and put into the heated water

15. Add palm sugar, stir until thickened.

16. After the palm sugar thickens, enter the balls of salak seeds earlier, remove them and leave them alone.

Make coconut milk gravy:


Materials needed :


1. 1 pack of liquid milk cream

2. Instant coconut milk 200 grams

3. Half a tablespoon of tapioca flour

How to make:


1. Heat 1 cup of water

4. Enter half a spoon of tapioca flour that has been dissolved

5. Stir briefly, lift
