Grilled Gurame fish : Lunch Menu with all the Teachers Where I Teach

This afternoon at the school where I teach, we held a meal together for all the teachers, we actually often do this activity to make ourselves more familiar. And today is also like that, after we have finished holding our final semester exams and will welcome Christmas and New Year, We hold this simple event, it doesn't need to be expensive, the important thing is that we are together, while chatting together, singing together and this activity is really very effective because all teachers are more familiar with each other, because on normal days many teachers do not have the same schedule and do not see each other, other than at large meetings and school activities.



And the menu that is provided this afternoon is grilled Gurami fish with soy sauce, Urap, and as a closing, we make fruit Rujak and don't miss the Kurnia syrup ice. and I will tell you our exciting story one by one, and I will start from the process of grilling the Gurami fish which is the main character in this event.

The first is the Gurami that we bought as much as 20 Kilograms has been cleaned, then the gourami is washed, after washing it clean we sprinkle lime or Lemon so that the Gourami is not fishy. After being given orange juice, the fish is sprinkled with salt until evenly distributed after that the fish is covered with the grilled fish seasoning that we bought so. The grilled fish is grilled using simple tools created by our own students, because we often hold events like this, the fish is grilled until dry, then smeared with butter, and grilled again until dry and evenly distributed.

The grilled fish is then served with Urap Vegetable. Urap is a menu consisting of various kinds of vegetables sprinkled with coconut that has been stir-fried with chili, onions and other spices added with palm sugar, thus adding to the savory taste of the vegetables that have been mixed with the coconut.

And besides these foods, we also make fruit Rujak which is familiar, because I have posted about this fruit Rujak several times. All of these simple menus tasted very good coupled with the atmosphere that was built with the teachers. Everyone radiates their own happiness and forgets a little burden. And there is one more drink that needs to be raised, namely Kurnia syrup ice, from all syrup brands in Indonesia, this Kurnia syrup is very legendary because the taste and aroma are very distinctive.
