Greetings fellow Hive,
Today I will be sharing with you another savoury recipe made from my freshly picked homegrown string beans.
If you're following my Hive gardening update you will know that I planted different kinds of vegetables in my garden and it gives us fresh food to eat.
So early this morning I went to pick the matured string beans for my planned dish and I'm cooking them into Bicol express.
Bicol express
Is a Filipino spicy pork stew. The dish is named after the train in the Bicol region of the Philippines, known for its spicy food.
For my ingredients I used
- string beans
- 250 grams pork (bite-sized)
- coconut milk (freshly grated)
- chillies
- ginger
- onion
- garlic
- salt
- pepper
- seasoning
- oil
- water
The cooking procedure
- I sauteed garlic, ginger, and onion.
- I add sliced pork and put pepper and a little bit of salt and saute for 2 minutes.
Next, I add string beans (stir).
Meanwhile, I follow the chillies, spring onions.
I seasoned with my favourite seasoning, add salt and pepper for the final taste.
I pure the coconut milk and simmer for two minutes and turn off the fire.
Here's my Bicol Express dish
It tastes creamy sweet, spicy and crunchy string beans that will boost the appetite best paired with riceπ.
I hope you like the dish I prepared.
