Dahi Gosht recipe

how are you? I hope you're doing well. Today, I'm sharing a delicious recipe with you – Dahi Mutton, which is known for its delightful taste. To prepare this, I'll need the following ingredients:

# Ingredients:

  • 500 grams mutton, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt (dahi)
  • 2 large onions, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

# Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Mutton:
    • In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala & red chili powder.

  • Add mutton pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

  1. Cooking the Mutton:
    • Heat oil or ghee in a pressure pain or heavy-bottomed pan.

    • Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

    • Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

  • Add marinated mutton and cook until the mutton is browned.
  1. Pressure Cooking:
    • If using a pressure pain, add water as needed, close the lid, and cook until mutton is tender (usually 4-5 whistles).

  1. Final Touch:
    • Once mutton is cooked, sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

  • Simmer for a few minutes until the flavors meld.
  1. Serve:
    • Serve the delicious Dahi Gosht hot with naan, rice, or your favorite bread.
