Matti's Baby-Led Weaning Journey Plates Part 2

Four days ago, I shared Matti's Baby-Led Weaning Jourey Plates here in hive, and today, I'd like to again share with you another set of foods I had prepared for my little one.

These plates were mostly from the month of March and April. Most of the time, I would forget to take photographs so that's why these are just a few of them. What I usually serve Matti were steamed or stir-fried vegetables, pancakes, fruits, pasta, bread. He had been eating also some porridge but I have to preload them on a spoon.

Matti is not a fan of rice so you might notice that his plates usually don't have any rice in them. Most of these pictures as well were meals for breakfast or dinner. For lunch, I don't get to take photographs because I don't plate his food. He usually eats vegetables and I place them right away on the tray.

I have been trying to spoon train Matti too but he would just use the spoon as a teether. I am looking for suggestions on how to allow him to start using a spoon. But I am not pressuring him, for now, I would just offer finger foods. He can now use pincer grasp and I am offering him small bite-sized cuts.

But you might notice that the images have whole foods in them, well, actually, I cut them after taking a photo of the plate.

Thinking of his next meal is a problem that I enjoy thinking about. I am also challenged to search for new recipes and it is a joy to see my baby eating his food. I must say as well that there are times when he dislikes the food offered, most especially if he is not able to pick up the food immediately, he seemed short-tempered!

Matti now shows his eagerness for a specific food like asking for Banana, he says nana and flips his arms like a penguin. Also, he asks for bones too! There was one time when I was eating chicken wings and he was eating only the fillet. He was looking at me and then he flips his arms again and if I offer water, he would decline by pushing the water bottle.

Then I showed him the bone and his eyes widened and flips his arms again. I then gave him a bone and he munched it! I guess it's because of the teeth!

That's it guys. I hope you had enjoyed the plates and the story. Will share more in the coming days!

Ta-ta!
