Warm temperatures in Belgium at the moment. So, let the summer begin!
And when we have such weather, you notice that in the supermarkets. Everyone buys meat, fish and vegetables. That means that the bbq and grill season has arrived.
But here in our village we also have a very well-known bbq and grill restaurant, where you can eat as much as you want for a fixed price. And the quality is always great!
So that was on the agenda yesterday. Together with my wife and my parents we reserved a table for a delicious grilling.
The nice thing is that you have a grill or bbq at your own table, so that you only have to leave the table when you want to get meat, fish, vegetables or fries or sauces.
During the warm summer evenings you can also reserve a place on the beautiful terrace, which is also fully equipped for delicious dining.
And for the little ones there is a play corner.
You start with a soup. Before Covid-19 there were two large soup kettles, with two different soups (one is always the tasty tomato soup with balls). But now since corona, a carafe of both soups has been brought to the table, with a bowl with balls. And all that as much as you wish.
Bread is also provided with butter and herb butter. Shortage? Just ask for a bag of bread more!
And then the real work can begin! First drip the grill plate with some oil, so that the meat does not stick. That oil can already heat up well while you go get your types of meat or fish for frying.
And are you vegetarian? You were also thought of!
While the meat is on the grill plate, you can get cold vegetables with a wide choice of sauces. Warm sauces are also provided, as well as fries, croquettes, potato wedges and crösti.
And the buffets are very neat, and very varied. If you don't like this, then you better stay at home, because there is something for everyone.
And then it's party-time, as long as you wish, and as much as you wish. Desserts are also provided, and if you still have a place available, you can also go for this, but that was not for us.
We ate more than enough, and enjoyed nice company, good service, and of course, very tasty summer food!
And I don't have to tell that we had a very good evening!
