When you grew up

It's been awhile since we visited the Secret Recipe, a local chain store cake house boom back in the 90's era. I remember the first time my boss brought back a piece of their cheese cake, we all took a small bite of it, each and every of us bust tear tasting it.

Since junior is having her birthday, and we have no idea where should we go for celebration, and decided to hit the cake house for a quick dinner, grab a few pieces of their cakes and that will be good. She ordered a chicken thigh with oriental sauce. We shared the dish, the salad was ok, but the chicken taste a little too commercial though.

Ex-girlfriend and the boy share this plate for Hainanese Chicken Chop. I tried the sauce, it's a little too spicy for my liking, but the fried chicken indeed deep fried to the max. Salty and spicy, I like it very much without the sauce.

The highlight for the night was actually this, a plate of chicken meatball that originally nobody wanted to give a damn about it. After we cut and split the first meatball, the rest is history. We love how it taste, and the minced chicken is very soft and tasted really good.

Birthday girl ordered a piece of this rainbow cheese cake. Frankly, I wouldn't want it for a birthday occasion. Anything to do with blue, seems a little off in my dictionary, like poison?

Later I went to the counter and picked another 2 slices of cakes. A piece of Chocolate Blueberry, and another piece of Chocolate Brulee and they taste very rich and awesome as usual.
