Today I went for a walk with my girls and our canine companions and everything was so full of life. There are so many flowers and wild herbs to see and their wonderful aromas to enjoy. We were surrounded by such potency, and seeing all the wild plants grow really helped to strengthened my reserve.
These times have put so many of us on edge, afraid at times to voice our opinions and express ourselves. Becoming caged in ever sense of the word, if we let it come to that, that is. I have always felt the urge to spend my time outdoors, even now as I sit to write this post, my attention turns to the sound of the birds as they chatter amongst themselves.
These are the things that are important to me, the connection I have with the earth, the connection I feel with the cycles of the earth. Being aware that we too are cyclic and that we have so much to gain when we allow ourselves to become in sync with nature. We have so much to learn from observing what is happening in our natural world.
Right now, everything is coated in green, the sap has risen in the trees and the birds are alive with song. Everything is so full of life and so full of potential. We are entering a period of great growth. If you go out into nature, what do you see? What are the sounds that you hear?
Life continues on, the natural cycle of life always continues on, because it is more powerful than any restrictions put in place. It does not matter where you are, your connection to the earth is just as strong, because we are made of the earth, we need to shake off those many material possessions which have severed our connection.
Now is the time to do just that. To take this opportunity to empower ourselves and re align ourselves, to bring ourselves back into balance.
Today is Beltain, one of the ancient Celtic Fire Festivals, where both fertility and unity are celebrated. A celebration of what is naturally occurring in nature and within ourselves. The earth's energies are at their most active. From here until the summer solstice the sun is at it's peak and so are we, we are being called to be creative, to be expressive.
We need to focus on where we are and on what we need right now, so that we can create the fertile environment that is needed so that we thrive and grow.
We now have more time to sit with ourselves, to check in with ourselves, so use it. use this time, to reconnect with yourself. To connect with our instinctive wild self, that resides within and without of us. Now is the time to explore ourselves, to reconnect with our sensual and sexual self. Because when we do we tap into so much creative energy. We unite a part of us that may have been laid dormant because of the views that religion has about sexuality. Viewing it as something offence, rather than an expression of self, of our fertility.
Tonight is the time to light a fire outside and to let it cleanse you, by jumping over it, releasing anything that has been holding you back. Stepping forward as you embrace you inner power.
