Hola, de nuevo!
Hi, again!
En una tarde que me encontraba fotografiando, una gran Reina amarilla se asomaba desde un castillo construído entre los pliegues de la corteza de un tronco. Me llamó y preguntó:
_ ¡Oiga, usted! ¿Qué hace?
_ Estoy tomando fotos -le contesté
_¿Qué significa eso?
_ Capturo imágenes para mi propio deleite
_ ¿Para qué?
_ Bueno, además de tenerlas en mi mente y corazón, me gusta guardar el recuerdo. Volverlas a ver de vez en cuando y emocionarme con la belleza brindada por la madre naturaleza.
Quedóse un momento pensativa:
_ ¡Si quieres puedes fotografiarme! - me dijo.
_ ¡Sería para mí todo un placer! - le respondí. ¡Es usted tan hermosa!
… Y sin más, se dejó hacer.
On an afternoon I was photographing, a large yellow Queen peered out from a castle, built between the folds of a trunk’s bark. She called me and asked:
_Hey, you! What are you doing?
_ I’m taking pictures -I answered
_What does that mean?
_ I capture images for my own delight
_ Why?
_ Well, besides having them in my mind and heart, I like to keep the memory. To see them again from time to time and to be moved by the beauty offered by the mother nature.
She remained a thoughtful moment:
_ If you will you can photograph me! - she said to me.
_ It would be a pleasure for me! - I replied. You are so beautiful!
... And without further ado, she let herself be.
Mi mamá que disfrutaba viéndome tomar las fotos, ajena a mi conversación, tomó un mango ya comido del suelo, y caminó hacia el tronco donde se encontraba la reina.
_ ¿Podría subirse? -le pedí.
_ ¡Con todo gusto!... Mirándome desde su altura, cual alteza a sus súbditos, con pasos lentos y elegantes, se posó sobre la fruta casi seca.
En un cambio instantáneo en su voz y mirada, exclamó entre risas:
_ ¡Oh! Mírame. ¡Soy tan amarilla como el mango! ¡Ja,ja,ja!
My mom, who enjoyed watching me take pictures, oblivious to my conversation, took a mango already eaten from the floor, and walked to the trunk where the queen was.
_Could you come up? -I asked.
_ With pleasure!... Looking at me from his height, like a highness to his subjects, with slow and elegant steps, she landed on the almost dried fruit. In an instant change in her voice and look, she exclaimed with laughter:
_ Oh! Look at me. I’m as yellow as a mango! Ha ha ha ha!
Y así transcurrió un rato, alardeando y mofándose de ella misma.
And so she spent a while, boasting and mocking herself.
Agradecida, devolvimos a su majestad al palacio, perdiéndose tranquilamente en él, hasta que dejamos de verla…
Thankfully, we returned Your Majesty to the palace, quietly lost in it, until we stopped seeing her...

P.D. Nada es por casualidad. Ella se presentó en el momento justo. Es muy relajante y liberador soltarme y adentrarme al mundo que conduce al camino de mi imaginación.
