I had been invited to perform at Wasihome, and I sat down to write a list of songs that I could play. Among them, I decided to play De Repente, which reminded me of a moment when I saw a family member play it exceptionally well. At that time, I wasn't interested in this type of music, but now I might be up for the challenge.
I found many covers and listened to the original. Within this list of songs, I started to modify the lyrics. Now, I have become someone who enjoys tweaking the lyrics a bit to make them more in line with what we should hear at home. An example of this was the version of 'Yo no soy Celoso de Bad Bunny' that I modified to 'Yo no soy Celoso, I just want Sugar Cane con Lemon' [I'm not jealous], where I changed the verses to tell a calm story that leads to reconciliation between the couple.
I hope to play it at another festival, but this time it's the reinterpretation of the original song De Repente by María Teresa Chacín for Hive Music Festival Week 56. Here are the chords and modifications and thank you very much.
Me habían invitado a tocar en Wasihome, y me senté a escribir una lista de las canciones que podría tocar. Entre ellas, decidí tocar De Repente. Me recordó un momento en el que vi a un familiar tocarla de manera excepcional. En ese momento, no estaba interesado en este tipo de música, pero ahora quizás podría sobrellevar el reto.
Encontré muchos covers y escuché la original. Dentro de esta lista de canciones, comencé, en definitiva, a modificar las letras. Ahora me he convertido en una persona que disfruta modificar un poco la letra para hacerla más acorde a lo que deberíamos escuchar en casa. Un ejemplo de eso fue la versión 'Yo no soy Celoso de Bad Bunny' que modifiqué a 'Yo no soy Celoso, solo quiero papelón con Limon' [No tengo celos, solo quiero drama con limón]. Cambié las estrofas para contar una historia tranquila en la que se logra una reconciliación entre la pareja.
