¿Cómo están amigos?. Sean bienvenidos todos a éste mi blog y el de ustedes también. Les traigo una versión del solo de trombón en la canción Idilio pero está vez en un instrumento poco usual.
En éste caso se trata del corno francés o trompa francesa. ¿Por qué con éste instrumento?. Primero porque debemos innovar y Segundo porque al ensayar con el corno me di cuenta de la similitud que tiene en sonido con el trombón.
Quise entonces tratar de explotar aún más ese sonido y que su semejanza fuera mayor, ustedes díganme que tal suena.
No es necesario dar muchas explicaciones para que al escuchar este solo se les venga a la mente el gran Willie Colón. A quien pertenece está versión de este espectacular tema, sin embargo el tema no es originalmente de él.
El tema es de un compositor puertorriqueño, fue escrita por Alberto “Tití” Amadeo que se llamaba Deseo y luego pasó a llamarse Idilio. Si quieren saber más acerca de este bella historia hagan click aquí.
Hablando un poco más sobre los desafíos técnicos. Ya de por sí el swing que tienen los trombones en Idilio es impresionante.
El corno no es instrumento para salsa porque su proyección es un poco limitada y los grabes son un poco complicados, pero claro eso depende grandemente del interprete también. Sin embargo fue algo complejo hacer esas notas graves.
Ya que éste instrumento está afinado en Fa y su rango empieza desde esa nota, significa que un do de la segunda línea adicional superior del pentagrama sería un fa del cuarto espacio adicional superior del pentagrama en notas reales.
Entonces los agudos son un poco más fáciles que los graves, teniendo en cuenta que soy trompetista y no cornista, y que sueño tocar con mi mano derecha y no con la izquierda ya es todo un desafío.
Pero lo voy a ir superando poco a poco, y gracias a eso y que descubrí un sonido interesante de la trompa francesa par salsa me he animado a participar en ésta gran iniciativa, espero sea de su agrado y disfruten mucho ésta interpretación amigos.

Talking a little more about the technical challenges. The swing of the trombones in Idilio is already impressive.
The horn is not an instrument for salsa because its projection is a little limited and the engravings are a little complicated, but of course that depends greatly on the interpreter as well. However, it was a bit complex to make those low notes.
Since this instrument is tuned in F and its range starts from that note, it means that a C from the second additional top line of the staff would be an F from the fourth additional top space of the staff in real notes.
So the treble is a little easier than the bass, considering that I am a trumpet player and not a horn player, and that I dream of playing with my right hand and not with my left hand is already a challenge.
But I will overcome it little by little, and thanks to that and that I discovered an interesting sound of the french horn for salsa, I have decided to participate in this great initiative, I hope you like it and enjoy this interpretation friends.
