SEA and SUNSETS
The Northumberland Strait is a passage of salt water from the Atlantic Ocean flowing between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. I have been on the red sand beach a few evenings when the sun set and had a few photos in my archives.
Taking an evening walk along this untouched beach is exhilarating and watching the sun slowly descending below the horizon is a wonderful bonus.
The sun sinking further down into the horizon with the illusion of vanishing into the cool water of the strait.
The setting sun disappears leaving a gift of shimmering gold on the water and red and gold in the sky.
A playful dog (brought to the beach by his owners) and a bird taking in the sunset.
The dog’s owners were throwing rocks out into the water and the dog would retrieve them.
This is my entry to @marc-allaria’s Sea Photography. Check Here for more information on the contest.
