ONE DAY OF BLINDNESS- MED-HIVE WEEKLY PROMPT

One day of blindness and what it will be like.
I feel like I m on a hot seat because no one really want this to happen. But then how do those who have it cope, and hey, what am I doing to avoid this. Statistics show it that a lot of people turn blind at old age due to various chronic diseases and here I am probably being ignorant until I collided with this prompt.

I use my eye for alot of things oo, wait is there really anything I don't use my eye for. Hehehe. Everything... Infact my vision is like my life hehe.. there.. there . That's not so true tho, cos .. people live without vision and they live successful too.

I never thought I would ever write down something like this because being blind is not something anyone wants to be. I know of a popular Nigerian artist known as Cobhams Asukwo who plays the piano so well however has been blind from birth.
He lives well and is very much as placed as one of the most expensive musician and music producers in Nigeria as of today.

I'm sure there are many other human beings on planet Earth who we are visually impaired and are living their life to the fullest so then would I try to find a way to survive if I'm in such a situation. who were 2.2 billion people are visually impaired, according to World Health Organisation. That's leaving less than 5 billion with good sight. That's quite a thought.

Moreover it helps me to further and better appreciate my sight as a gift or not a right. Thanks @medhive for the prompt

So then let's begin this hard task and see how it goes join me on my one day of blindness.

When I wake up in the morning I'll probably first think to myself that everywhere is still dark however the alarms will keep blowing and I try to find my phone only for me to realise I can touch it but I can't see it.

Well that will be a funny one even imagining, but I'll remember I'm feeling what blind people feel, just for one day.

I d figured out how to step down from the bed and grope my way down to the bath room.

I then begin to wish that I had my phone set to hear my voice and then remember that I can activate Google speak from a touch.
And probably struggle so you don't send out my hive keys inadvertently hehe.

Then I'll wait until I m called from the hospital and then I try to pick the call, which may be hard because of the current use of button-less phones. What visually impaired people go through. Amazing.

But it is rest assured that I can't do my work, neither will I even be able to enjoy social media and hive as I often do.

I'll probably be able to play the guitar because I know how to play with my eyes closed.

I'm also going to scream as loud as I can to get some help as fast as possible because I'll be really scared.

And then I ll remember.. " oh it just a day.. hehehe...

I need to go do Thanksgiving in church for seeing hehe.

This prompt is bringing a lot of things to my mind really. I may never have imagined being blind but imagine what they go through too.

That day will never come but I'll be sure to be careful with my eyes to ensure that it never does.
