My Mirro

Just in my previous post, I was talking about the importance of our health and how lots about our happiness is been tied to being healthy. I mentioned that if we care about our loved ones we will live a healthy lifestyle as we won't want to be a burden but a source of joy and happiness to the people we care about.


This has made me reflect so much on the importance of caring for my eyes.

I see my eyes as the mirror 🪞 through which I see the abundant beauty of this world. Through my sight, I can appreciate my beautiful environment, see and can care for my son, and see the smile on my hubby's face each day when I wake up. Aside from this, I have got aged parents whom I won't want to worry about me in any way if something happens to my sight.

By my eyes, I get to be able to interact and chat with a lot of people around the globe on #hive. Cook my dishes and take care of myself. You see, the list goes on and on.

These are part of the reason my sight is very important to me and I have got to take very good care of it.

Aside from never going to try to put any harmful substance into my eyes or smoke, below are some simple and easy ways I care for my eyes every day.


Taking Screen Time Off as Often as I Can

As someone whose day revolves around the screen, my phone screen, where I do most of my blogging, and my tv where I watch the News. I don't spend much time on tv though, where my eyes are episodes more to the screen is on my phone.

I make sure to always take time off away from the screen, whenever I knew I have been chatting or blogging on my phone for a while. This has been relieving my eyes of strains and feels better.


Washing My Hands Often

I have a habit of washing my hand from time to time as my hygiene routine and make sure to wash off just before touching my eyes, I don't often touch my eyes thought unless necessary.


Spending time admiring the beauty of nature

Take a walk each day around my environment just admiring the beauty of nature such as plants, and the blue sky, "oh! I love the blue sky very much and this is therapeutic to my sight.


Eating healthy

They say we are what we eat haha, I'm very cautious about what I ate. I strive every day to make sure I eat a balanced diet as eating healthy is equal to a healthy body which included my eyes👁️.


Having adequate sleep

Aside from food another aspect of my life, I don't joke about is my sleep. I love my sleep very much and always strive to have enough of it. Even if it is hard this day as a new mom concerned. I try to schedule my activities along with my baby's sleeping routine so that at a given opportunity I get to take some naps to make up for all the sleep I lost while tending to him.

Adequate sleep is not only important to our health but specifically necessary for our sight to function well.


Using The Eye Care Option On My Phone

Most of our phones these days do come with this option on our phone settings. I do use mine which helps to reduce the amount of blue-ray light affecting my eyes when I'm making use of the phone. And yes the cell phone mobile companies are thoughtful enough to include this feature and I'm taking advantage of it to protect my eyes.
