Concierto, poesía y compartir (Esp/Ing)

Acompañar a mi esposa y a mi bebé a las actividades que se realizan en la Casa Ramos Sucre se ha vuelto una tarea habitual, disfrutamos compartir en este recinto pleno de historias, arte, poesía y cultura. En esta ocasión, asistí al concierto "Solo es música" cuyo protagonista era @edwardstobia, un cantautor que conocí en el primer Meetup organizado en el estado Sucre, el cual se realizó en Hiper Galerías.

Accompanying my wife and my baby to the activities held at Casa Ramos Sucre has become a regular task, we enjoy sharing in this place full of stories, art, poetry and culture. On this occasion, I attended the concert "Solo es música" whose protagonist was @edwardstobia, a singer-songwriter I met in the first Meetup organized in the state of Sucre, which was held in Hiper Galerías.

En aquel evento tuve la oportunidad de escucharlo cantar y, en una conversación posterior, descubrí que tenemos un amigo en común, el también artista Willins Méndez, otro músico de gran trayectoria en la ciudad. Tobia reconoce y agradece la influencia de Méndez, ya que además de su colega, fue su maestro y amigo durante muchos años.

At that event I had the opportunity to hear him sing and, in a subsequent conversation, I discovered that we have a friend in common, the also artist Willins Méndez, another musician of great trajectory in the city. Tobia recognizes and appreciates Méndez's influence, as he was not only his colleague, but also his teacher and friend for many years.

Llegamos al concierto y Tobia nos regaló su mejor repertorio de canciones románticas, las cuales se paseaban por amores pasajeros, desilusiones y fantasías sexuales. Su trayectoria en la blockchain lo ha ayudado a consolidar su carrera como compositor y cantante, llegando a crecer significativamente en ámbito profesional.

We arrived at the concert and Tobia gave us his best repertoire of romantic songs, which went through passing loves, disappointments and sexual fantasies. His trajectory in the blockchain has helped him to consolidate his career as a composer and singer, growing significantly in the professional field.

Entre las pausas entre un tema y otro, Tobia conversó sobre sus inicios en la música y destacó el papel fundamental de Willins Méndez en esa época porque eran vecinos y desde muy temprano iniciaban la tarea de escribir las letras de las canciones, lo que sería la poesía, y posteriormente asignarle ritmo.

Between the pauses between one song and another, Tobia talked about his beginnings in music and highlighted the fundamental role of Willins Méndez at that time because they were neighbors and from very early on they began the task of writing the lyrics of the songs, which would become the poetry, and then assigning rhythm to them.

También habló de sus proyectos inmediatos, destacando un video del tema Color Ámbar. Adquirir una nueva guitarra acústica, fabricada por Andrés Álvarez, era otra de sus metas. Además indicó que para su nueva producción contará con el respaldo de un grupo de profesionales, así que será un gran paso adelante con respecto a lo que logró con la canción Ojos Amarillos.

He also talked about his immediate projects, highlighting a video of the song Color Ámbar. Acquiring a new acoustic guitar, made by Andrés Álvarez, was another of his goals. He also indicated that for his new production he will have the support of a group of professionals, so it will be a big step forward with respect to what he achieved with the song Ojos Amarillos.

Al final de la velada compartimos con Tobia, su esposa y su hija, intercambiamos opiniones sobre influencias poéticas y musicales, hablamos un poco de Willins Méndez, quien está radicado en España, y de la relevancia de Hive como red social para promocionar a los talentos emergentes.

At the end of the evening we shared with Tobia, his wife and daughter, exchanged views on poetic and musical influences, talked a bit about Willins Méndez, who is based in Spain, and the relevance of Hive as a social network to promote emerging talents.
