Obor Parade celebrates Eid al-Adha

In this post, I'm back to sharing my stories and photos with all of you. Well, tonight is Eid al-Adha for all Muslims. In addition, each region certainly has traditions that are carried out every year to welcome Eid al-Adha. The tradition is the torch parade, in which village people hold celebrations by carrying torches that are lit through the village streets.

When the month of Dzulhijjah arrives, the whole village is filled with high spirits. Villagers work together to plan a spectacular torch relay. They make beautiful torches using bamboo, colorful paper, and village fabrics. Each torch has a unique and creative design, reflecting the beauty and diversity of the village community.

Every year, the torch relay is an event that all villagers look forward to. It is a symbol of unity, passion and sacrifice attached to Eid al-Adha. The youths and villagers came together to organize the event. They work hard and with enthusiasm, preparing torches made of bamboo.

At 19.00, the celebration begins. Torches burning with warm light traverse the village streets. The sound of joy and applause from the residents accompanied their steps.

Communities along the torch relay route flocked out of their homes. They stood by the side of the road with shining eyes fascinated by the beauty of the passing torches. Some of them join the ranks, join hands with the other participants, strengthening the social ties that exist in their village.

During the torch parade, the sound of takbir and prayers resounded in the sky. Making the atmosphere more solemn and strengthening the deep gratitude in the hearts of each participant.

The moment ended with a joint prayer, expressions of thanks, and sincere brotherly greetings. The entire village feels bound by the deep Eid al-Adha spirit and the torch relay has strengthened their bond as one big family.

With hope and passion burning like a torch, the village moves forward with the belief that a better future awaits them.
