18 yr Old Leny Yoro to Man United All But Done!

Source: X

I don't recognize my club anymore. For years under the rudderless leadership of the Glazers, Manchester United has had an extremely poor transfer policy. The recent signing of Cristiano Ronaldo is a great example of it.

While us, the fans, were excited to see Ronaldo back at the club, a competent football structure wouldn't have considered the player as a viable signing.

Thinking back, we have had players like Casemiro, Varane, Ibrahimovic and Cavani who came into the club, commanding high salaries and high transfer fees, but they only contributed for a year or two before their legs went and sent us back to the drawing board.

That is not how any competent club, and especially the biggest club in England, becomes successful.

INEOS has been a revelation in that regard. The transfer plan is very clear. The club is looking for young, exemplary talent to replace our aging players, especially in defence.

Leny Yoro is a bright RCB, and looking at our options on that side of the pitch it is clear why he was a priority.

Maguire is now in his 30's and he isn't getting any faster. Ten Hag has always wanted to play a high line and the lack of pace in the backline really affected our previous season. It didn't help that our fastest RCB, Varane, spent majority of the season injured.

With that in mind, Yoro is a perfect signing. But he is only 18. Our other RCB target De Ligt would be a perfect deputy for Yoro. However, it is unlikely we proceed with that deal unless we sell Harry Maguire. It my hope that we do.

It looks and feels like we are finally getting our Manchester United back. After more than a decade of mediocrity fans of the club can look forward with renewed hope. While we may not challenge for the league this season, at the very least we will most likely be better than last season.

Welcome to Manchester United, Leny Yoro!
