If there is a time when a person needs more prayer, then this is a time when the forces change, when life escapes itself.

Healthy people often forget the wonderful blessings they have used all day, day after day, year after year, so they do not thank God for their help. But when disease strikes, they remember God. When human powers change, they feel the need for divine help, and our sweet erdny God never leaves the heart, they sincerely turn to him for help. He is our refuge in sickness as in times of prosperity.

Christ is now the same compassionate healer that He was during His earthly ministry. It has a healing balm for every disease, restoring strength for every weakness.

Today, his disciples must pray for the sick just as they did in the old days. And recovery will come, because "the prayer of faith will heal the sick." We have the power of the Holy Spirit and the quiet assurance that faith offers about God's promises. The Lord's promise: "They will lay hands on the sick and they will be healed" (Mark 16:18) - as trustworthy now as it was in the days of the apostles.

This expresses the advantage of the children of God, and through faith we can use all that this includes. God's servants are the instruments through which he acts; through them, you want to manifest your healing power.

Our duty is in the hands of faith to bring the sick and suffering to God. We must teach them to believe in the great Healer. The Savior wants us to encourage the sick, those who suffer and lose hope that they use His power.

Faith and prayer can make the patient's door the gates of heaven. Doctors and sisters must testify in words and deeds in such a simple way that there is no misunderstanding that "the Lord is present in this place"; He is here to save, not to destroy. Christ wants to show his strength in the patient's room, filling the hearts of the doctors and sisters with a fresh breath of his love.

If the life of those who care for the sick is such that Christ can be with them at the bedside of the sick, then the patient will have the confidence that the merciful Savior is present in this place, this self-confidence will help Great measure to recovery ak body and soul.
