Monitoring Melon On Flooding Environment Ways

Melon 🍈 is a kind of food cooking item best for soup, stew and sources for eating of yam, potatoes, cocoyam and more. The melon we use for cooking is the seed and the seed comes from the melon fruit or shell. We plant melon to make sure that the item is available in the market so people will remain enjoying the melon food sources.

I planted melon in a farm land that usually flows with steady river. The river usually flows inside the farm land whenever raining season is much. Because I am already aware of the disaster for my farm land. When cultivating to plant melon, I usually makes the farm ridges to be very big so that the ridges will be above the flooding whenever the river flowing by the farm land is filled.

The very good thing why I couldn't left the farmland because of the flooding that usually disturb is that the land is very fertile and can grow any form of crops especially when talking of melon. Melon requires water to germinate and even to grow. it's not that melon requires water that will be touching the leaves. Water is only good for melon from the soil and not the one that will be touching the leaves and stems. Any water touching a melon stems will surely make it to die which usually start from having a yellow to brown color sign.

It's very important to note our farmland environment whenever we plant any crops because that's the only thing that will help to keep the crops in growing and producing fruits.

Because of the flooding that usually enters my farmland the melon fruit couldn't do very well. Most of the melon fruit were seriously affected by the water that's touching it fruits. I have seen that a flowing water or flooding into a melon farm will make some of the melon fruit to be weak in its seed farm produce. In this case, the melon shell usually covers the melon seed and a farmer will not know that the melon fruit was affected due to flooding. It's when the melon fruit is due for the seeds to be removed from its shell that the owner will know that they're no much melon seeds produce from its fruits.

One of the best ways we can secure our melons to do well if it's planted around a flooding environment is to always monitor the melons fruits and the stems produces them. It's very important we dress the melon seed up the farm ridge so that the flooding will not reach it's area.

With the sizes of melons in my farm land that does not mean that the melons fruits are due or mature for harvesting so the best way to know if a melon fruit is mature for harvesting is the yellow changing color of its stems or leaves. So it's best to allow the melon stems to dry so the seeds inside the melon fruit will be mature.
