It's to be believed that to plant whatever crop there are so many different way things like that are done. Every region or person has different ideas she can plant her crop depending on the knowledge she gathered when she was growing.
Actually in the whole Southern part of Nigeria we're not known to be planting onions and some other plant but the Northern side are known for that. I personally had tried to plant onion and beans in our land but it'll germinate and later not produce good fruit for harvesting.
Some days ago, I decided to took a work to our farmland where our elders gave out to the foreigners to use and mine natural resources. At first what I saw are not encouraging because I don't think our farmland are still secured to be used for farming in the coming future. Most of the farm land where we usually cultivate and plant our crops has been destroyed by chemical and machines used by the foreigners to dig out the minerals.
To continue my movement I went close to where all the foreign workers used to stay. Because I have much interest in agriculture I saw where the Chinese planted Onion, beans, and even cocoyam in one farm. At first I was very surprised how can the three crops grow and germinate. The worst is that onion and beans doesn't do well in our farmland.
I went to call one of the Chinese woman who works with the foreigners. My reason was to ask her some questions how they manage to plant and grow onions in our land. On my information gathering, the Chinese woman made me to understand that every land is good to plant all kinds of crops. She reviewed that one of the secret is to first understand the area whether or climate. That if understood the whether conditions it'll help to know the actual season to plant any kind of crops.
The Chinese woman reviewed that Onion and beans can actually grow in the Southern parts of Nigeria but we'll make sure that wherever we're to plant onion or beans it'll require water flowing or wetting because that's what onions and beans need to grow.
The Chinese woman also revealed that for Onions and beans to grow in the Southern parts of the country, we must be ready to monitor the onions and beans as the grow because they're a lot of flying animals that usually eat them up. So as we monitor the flying animals will not eat them.
In conclusion, the Southern part of Nigeria can actually grow onions and beans. We only have the option for the crop the survive by taking good care of it from the very first day of our planting.
