Avestruz / Ostrich
Hola amigos / Hello friends
Although they have wings they do not fly, instead they stand out for being great runners, it is native to Africa and is popularly associated with fear or lack of courage due to a phrase that says: "do not hide your head like ostriches".
There is a popular belief that when the ostrich is in danger it hides its head under the ground, however this idea is false, because what really happens is that these animals since they are chickens have the ability to lower their head to the ground to go unnoticed.
It is the fastest two-legged animal; it can maintain a speed of over 70 km/h for about 30 minutes. Although it does not fly, its wings help it to propel itself and maintain its balance while running.
Unlike other birds that have four toes on each leg, the ostrich has only two. It has only one claw per leg, which it uses to injure predators.
