Toes in the water [Poem]

It's good that you care about the world
but sometimes it would be nice
to hear you talk about yourself
and have a peek inside the void
that nurtures the potential of an open heart

It's fun to follow the trend
but no so fun to lose your head
to lie in bed till the lights fade
and forget the gifts of every step

A fun creation this Matrix
it swirls in shapes in colors
and hints in math the clues to the existence

If we could sit by the river
and place our toes in the water
would you still be worried?
would you still be sorry?

Information is hot air
it swells your head like a balloon
and you run around trying not to pop
blowing up loudly in the end
only to be heard by a true friend

Come now, traveler of eternity
join us in this fire
let the liars blame the liars
they're not evil, they're just tired

At the end of time
we will look into the pond
the stars are here, search no more

In the misty valleys of uncertainty
might be buried a key for love
don't be hurried and don't be slow
tender steps, forget the show

After a long day of tweeting and paying much attention to the political scenario of Steem, I really needed to write something different to change gears. I won't lie, this has been great entertainment, as well as a really interesting social experience where the coordination and cooperation of a community has shined brilliantly over the greed of totalitarianism.

Steem has made me very joyful today, it's not every day we get to see the triumph of the many and we have witnessed it second to second. Let's stick together and see this come through, thanks for this glimmering hope in society, perhaps we are not so doomed after all.
