Homemade Sweets using ricotta

Necessity is the mother of invention

The above proverb is perfect for this post.
We are going to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna here in India as Krishna Janmashtami and universe too so need to offer some food as sweets as they like most to it. We are eliciting and tried to celebrate in good way but there is some compulsion due to Covid19, actually we are not purchasing sweets from sweet shop after corona arrival so if we can't eat then we also can't offer to Lord at all hence my wife decided to make that in home and she made it perfectly. Therefore i used the proverb necessity is the mother of invention.

It is popular with a unique name here in India and that is Kalakand. It can be make using the any milk, its ricotta and sugar. Apart from these you can mix some fruits pieces also into it in tiny pieces. It is very healthy for any one and it has minimum fats than other sweets. It is very simple to make ricotta at home just need Milk, Lemon juice and about 1 hour of time. When ricotta will gets ready just mixed sugar and give a shape as you want.

It is fact that after offering to Lord Krishna the rest pieces will be eaten by us as Prasad. It means whatever god has left that will be distributed as prasad among as much as possible and on that prasad no one claim that it is only for one person who has offered it to God. Any person can show interest to eat a tiny part of the prasad and if someone shows interest then surely have to give until it goes finished fully. There is nothing which can replace the Prasad, it means you can't give someone other sweets than this Kalakand if someone asks for that.

Anyway the Kalakand is looking awesome and hope Lord Krishna will mange everything if there is any lacking.

Thanks
