The Wonderful Blooming Process of an Orchid

Hello orchid lovers!

So am I, I only have one beautiful orchid but it has been at home for a few years, and every spring it decides to give us its elegant splendor at its maximum potential. Flower power!

This year I hope that it is also there, overflowing with roots that seem to be unable to contain themselves, entranced by sunlight, water and life. Such is nature, impressive. (Maybe this is what @fantagira mentions as #rootporn!)

As I look at that now naked plant I remember the whole process from earlier moments of the past spring when I was in another place, in another house. Will it be the same here now in this other new house and different environment?

We are excited, looking forward to it, time passes quickly and perhaps we will begin to witness that wonderful bloming process again, as we did before. Bloom!

We start in the same way, a plant in hibernation, which seems not to be, only those irrepressible roots denote strength and intention to continue wanting to be alive. But one day we get up, we get closer and we see some small lumps, or almost bulbs on its branches, there are many and then our hopeful illusions become an exciting reality. Flowers will come out very soon...

So it happened, as step by step, began that colorful and hopeful blooming process. Despite the fact that spring was not very sunny, winter was much more sunny, but it seems that all that light energy was contained and retained then to explode magnificently now. A flower in the orchid.

Two flowers in the orchid.

Three flowers in the orchid.

Four flowers in the orchid.

Five flowers in the orchid.

Six flowers in the orchid.

And we move on to nine and ten flowers on the orchid.

To start losing count because we only see the spectacular plant full of flowers in white and pink or purple tones, subtle, beautiful, elegant and unique. Because each orchid is unique, and I hope that this fourth spring it will once again become the floral queen of the house.

Thanks for reading! Have an amazing and flowery day.
