Life has be awesome lately and once again today i had the opportunity to go to a site where alterations and demolition works are been carried out on site and i was happy to be among the workers to supervise everything going on the site.
With the improvement on my communication skills as well as collaboration with my project team, everything went well and the dispute that happened on the construction site was settled amicably among the project team.
I didn't know everything was going to be smooth as i planned and i was thinking of how i will deal with everyone because it was the first time i was meeting them. While on the site, i made sure Safety was a top priority and i made sure that all Workers are equipped with personal protective gear, and safety protocols are strictly followed to prevent any forms of accident as well as injuries.
While construction works are been carried out one of the minor thing which people usually don't consider which is "Dust control", i made sure that this measure was implemented to minimize the spread of debris and contaminants. Though it might be less dangerous but continually inhaling it can be very dangerous.
In the case where we had to demolish some part of the structures, i made sure all safety protocols were been followed and since reinforcement where not in those structures, we had to minimize the use of machinery on the site and made use of manual labor because it was the appropriate thing to do.
Before leaving the site, more materials were delivered to site and i was available to confirm the delivery and also ensure that it was delivered in the appropriate place.
Though today might sound easy with the way my write up is been structured but it wasn't easy at all, though it wasn't easy but it was also educative and I'm glad i didn't miss out today.
