I've been there when I started two years ago. Writing great content is not enough because people might not even see your content. You need to actively participate in communities, do quality engagement with other users etc... Also not everyone has time to read stuffs every day so don't expect them to do so but at least you get your name out there and when they have time to do something they might look out for you. It takes time tho.
