Greetings my esteemed Info-Warriors, today has been an awesome day for me, hope it was to you. Since we're still in the era of the covid-19 pandemic and the collateral damages it has caused the entire world. There's need to look for possible ways to avert future pandemic that'll ravage the world like the covid-19 pandemic.
What's PANVAX?
In looking for the way forward a group of scientists, engineers and medical personnel came together to propose the formation of what they call PANVAX which stands for Pandemic Vaccine Alliance. The idea of PANVAX was coined out of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Since the objectives of NATO was to protect member states, the same goes to PANVAX. But unlike NATO, this will be an alliance is open to every country in the world willing to support it, and one in which low- and middle-income countries will play an essential, and eventually leading, role.
Why PANVAX?
Due to the inabilities of the World Health Organization (WHO) to dictate untime the covid-19 pandemic, causing severe lose of human lives, there was need to propose a league that'll help prevent future occurrences of pandemic. The vision of PANVAX was caught on 7 May 2021 in a public meeting of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine on global coordination and financing for influenza vaccine preparedness.
The aim of establishing PANVAX was to provide biological security to any nations and it's citizens that are willing to join the alliance. The duty of the alliance is to dictate pathogens that could cause future pandemics and to produce vaccines ahead of any destructive pandemic like the covid-19. Also PANVAX will work as a quick response team to provide rapid development, testing, production, and distribution of enough vaccines for all people in any PANVAX member country against any novel pandemic pathogen.
Early dictation of the genetic code of the pandemic pathogens will enable vaccine production in a quick secession. Remember that early vaccination against pandemic pathogens will reduce the mortality rate across the world, but in this case, it's limited to PANVAX members. For instance, just 66 days after the draft genome sequence for SARS-CoV-2 was published online on 10 January 2020, the first phase 1 clinical trial of a vaccine candidate began. Covid-19 vaccines were developed in under a year, the fastest vaccine development in history (the previous record was four years, for mumps vaccine).
What's the Essence of Biological Security?
This comes in a way of keeping people around the world safe from future biological threats that could ravage the world and cause harm to human lives.

Finally, it's normal to experience pandemics, but it's not normal to have the kind of casualties that the world is experiencing as related to the covid-19 pandemic due to the high level of science and technology in the medical and research field. The earlier the world forms a league like the proposed PANVAX, the better for the entire world. A country like the United States and Uk can build this structures but it'll not help the entire world, it'll only increase their hegemony.
