I truly wish I was making this up but no, this is seriously a thing that is being introduced into legislature in that completely absurd state called California. They obviously have a desire to re-open things like Disneyland and the politicians are probably under a great deal of pressure to make this happen but it is still the government so they have to include some really dumb riders that are going to come along with the people being allowed to do stuff again outdoors before the disease with a 99.8% recovery rate kills all of them.

Lets go ahead and give California a little bit a break because they are not alone in this field. Amusement parks all over America and even other, less governmentally dumb countries are instituting silly and completely unenforceable policies into their guest's lives should they choose to attend these theme parks.
For one thing, I don't know if you have ever been to a Disney park, but it isn't exactly a social-distance friendly environment. Whether or not you think the social distance stuff is bullshit (I do) doesn't really matter. The fact of the matter is that almost all governments have gone "all in" on the necessity to socially distance and therefore people need to be spread out even though there is very little data to suggest that this is actually harmful.
I want you to go ahead and stand in the line and Disneyland for a roller coaster and remain 6 feet from other people. Go ahead, give it a go!

The parks that are trying to re-open are being forced to jump through loads of governmental hoops, and this is expected because governments are good at little else other than creating said hoops to jump through. Oh, they are good at war as well, but not much else.
So these parks, if they want to open back up have to require face coverings at all times and when people are on rides they have made changes so that, and I promise you this is a real quote "Seat loading patterns on rides will also be modified to mitigate the effects of shouting.
I don't know how anyone thinks that this is possible and we all know that it isn't but the government makes hoops and you have to jump. The fact that a person's decision to scream on a ride is one of normally terror or excitement won't matter and the fact that once that roller coaster car leaves the station there is absolutely nothing that can be done to enforce this is all irrelevant because.... government!
I would love to see how many people get reprimanded or ever kicked out of the park because while on a fast-paced coaster their face-covering flies off of their face... which is something that can happen if you are subjected to high speeds the likes of which can and will be encountered on a roller coaster.

I think we also need to ask ourselves "how is an amusement park, where you aren't really allowed to have fun, going to be amusing? It wouldn't be fun and that is what makes this entire notion and the fact that the parks are actually kowtowing to ridiculous government demands even worse: We have already been conditioned to believe that we have no choice but to follow the guidelines that arbitrary officials, many of which have absolutely no idea what they are talking about scientifically or medically speaking, tell us that we have to follow.
