Russian rapper Ivan Vitalievich Petunin (24 May 1995 - 30 September 2022) known under stage name Walkie had chosen to take his own life rather than comply with an draft order. He chose to die rather than fight in the war in Ukraine.
It is telling how an unjust war kills the best, even if indirectly. I admire his devotion to principles of humanism - even if I don't imagine suicide is an optimal choice. After all, by killing yourself you make it easier for the enemy by doing their job for them.
