In Libya, more than 580 civilians have been killed including their properties been destroyed since 2020 till date as the government is suspected to be responsible for the evil act against the International Criminal Court and that of humanity. One of the things I always get confused about life is how most leaders in the world especially in the case of Libya in Africa drive joy in torturing and killing its citizens that voted them into power for good governance.

Well, this could be regarded as self-political greediness but the good news here is that every killing that has to do with the torture and killing of civilians nationwide must be accoutered for if properly investigated by the ICC Investigative Officers.

Libya Updates reported that the World Organization Against Torture in their investigation (OMCT) through its secretary noted that 580 civilians were tortured and killed in Libya. The OMCT also noted that the Libyan government and of the military are the cause of the death of innocent civilians from 2020 to 2022. The report state that 487 civilians were killed on the Northern, Western, and Eastern sides while 93 are from the Southern side following the totality of the 580.

According to the Libya Updates report, more than 580 civilians were killed in Libya over the past two years as a result of the government and its military attack on innocent civilians as they attacked their residents through torture and then killed them for no reason just because of their political interest and hatred for the people. The OMCT investigative report stated that they were a mass grave discovered in Tarhuna which is part of Libya and proves a war crime committed against humanity by the Libyan government.

Innocent civilians can’t just continue to be killed through torture because of the government and their individual political motives in Libya without world intervention because it’s the duty of the ICC to protect the life and properties of civilians nationwide. Leaders especially those in the military should always be adequately investigated to ascertain their war crimes committed when in power to enable them to face justice for the civilians they killed.
