Learning without limits - The positive impact of online learning

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗

Living in a digital age has made accessing knowledge easier; it is no longer limited to the four walls of the classroom as it was before; access to the Internet is now at our fingertips, which makes it easier for us to access virtually everything we need.

We all must agree that there are a lot of positive things to learn online, and in one way or another we have been partaking of it, and it has impacted us greatly.

One of the benefits of online learning is that you will learn at your own pace, anywhere and anytime. There was a time when if anyone wanted to learn how to bake, they would have to meet with a baker at their bakery to register and attend the classes, but it's different now. There are a lot of tutorial videos on how to bake different kinds of confectionaries online with detailed recipes and step-by-step procedures on how to go about it. As for me YouTube is usually my go-to app whenever I want to learn something because most times I prefer watching videos on how it's done than reading it.

There was one time in 2020 that I ordered a donut from an eatery, and the donut was so soft and tasty, and there I was wondering how theirs was this soft because I used to make donuts too, but it wasn't as soft and tasty as theirs, so I went online to watch several videos on how to make donuts. At the end of the video, I found out that measurements were the main problem with my donut, as most of my measurements were not accurate. I had to buy measuring cups and a weighing scale in order to get the right measurement.

Here's a simple donut recipe:

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
Half cup sugar
Half cup of warm milk
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
a pinch of salt
2 large eggs
Butter
Flavorings (optional)
Vegetable oil
Instructions:

  1. Put all your dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, salt, and yeast) in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Then in another separate bowl, whisk together warm milk, egg, and butter.
  3. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until you get a smooth, stretchy dough.
  4. Cover your dough in an airtight bowl and allow it to rise for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Once it has risen, cut the dough into donut shapes.
  6. Fry the donuts (pre-heat oil) in a low heat until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oil and place on parchment paper to drain excess oil.
  8. Your homemade donut is ready.

Another positive impact of learning online is that it's more affordable; there are a lot of free educational materials online, and even the ones that have paid versions are not as expensive as some physical classes. You can also get access to people who are already experts in their fields.

With online learning, you would get up-to-date information. For instance, when milky donuts were trending last year, I went to YouTube to search how it's been done. So online learning gives you access to the latest developments and trends.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗
