Seguramente habrán leído el título de este post y les habrá llamado la atención; pero sí, hoy voy a explicar —desde mi punto de vista— como existe una especie de paradoja en Hive que hace que algunas personas no tengan tanto éxito como es debido en nuestra cadena de bloques, todo simplemente por tener el enfoque incorrecto (sin ser necesariamente su culpa).
Cuando uno llega a Hive, lo primero en lo que incursionamos es en la creación de contenido, y por supuesto, no todo el mundo sabe la teoría detrás de lo que es el ser un creador de contenido; entonces, vamos a hablar sobre eso rápidamente.
Cuando somos creadores de contenido, lo que subimos a nuestro blog se vuelve un producto, el cuál tenemos que hacer llegar a las personas (los consumidores y/o curadores) para recibir nuestras recompensas por nuestro trabajo.
La idea es que nos esforcemos por hacer que nuestro producto sea disfrutable para que podamos recibir la mayor cantidad de votos posibles o buenos comentarios o vistas, etc.
Surely you have read the title of this post and it will have caught your attention; but yes, today I am going to explain -from my point of view- how there is a kind of paradox in Hive that makes some people not as successful as they should be in our blockchain, all simply because they have the wrong approach (not necessarily their fault).
When one comes to Hive, the first thing we dabble in is content creation, and of course, not everyone knows the theory behind what it is to be a content creator; so, let's talk about that quickly.
When we are content creators, what we upload to our blog becomes a product, which we have to get to people (the consumers and/or curators) to receive our rewards for our work.
The idea is that we strive to make our product enjoyable so that we can receive as many votes or good comments or views, etc. as possible.
La Paradoja de Hive | The Hive Paradox
En nuestra cadena de bloques ocurre un caso muy particular de fracaso en personas que resultan ser influyentes en redes sociales de la red 2.0 porque tienen un enfoque diferente a lo que sería lo más acorde a la filosofía de Hive; estos son los denominados influencers o personas que utilizan su fama para crear contenido ya que poseen audiencias numerosas que siguen el trabajo que realizan.
¿Por qué digo fracaso? Pues simple, 2 casos particulares que conozco —los cuáles no mencionaré porque después me denuncian por desinformar— que han transitado en Hive se han ido con una opinión sumamente negativa, buscando de destruir el trabajo que realizamos por acá y que además, a pesar de tener una audiencia numerosa y todo su prestigio arrastrado de sus labores en otras redes sociales, no tuvieron forma de lograr que sus publicaciones tuvieran reconocimiento por acá.
Ahora, ¿por qué pasó esto? Lo explico, de una forma simple —volviendo a hacer énfasis en que es mi opinion personal— sucedió lo que yo quiero denominar la Paradoja de Hive que no es más que el hecho de que en Hive —a diferencia de las redes sociales de la web 2.0— no existen los Creadores y los Consumidores por separado, ya que, básicamente, todos somos creadores y consumidores al mismo tiempo.
Entonces, ¿qué quiere decir esto? Simple de nuevo, nuestro enfoque de creación de contenido no debe ir dirigida a una audiencia como si fuéramos influencers, sino debe ir dirigida a una audiencia que también se encarga de crear contenido, anexando el hecho de que debemos consumir el contenido de otros, a diferencia de otras plataformas como Youtube, Twitch o Instagram donde realmente no necesariamente tenemos que consumir otros contenidos para ser influencers.
Las personas que vienen de la web 2.0 creen que pueden llegar a Hive a hacer sus propias reglas y a colocar sus propios criterios por encima del criterio colectivo porque tienen su nivel de fama o influencia afuera, y realmente tienen razón, pero hay métodos y hay tiempos que deben suceder para adaptarse a esta dinámica para poder sentar las bases de ello.
Entonces, al no ver los resultados rápido y por la soberbia de lo que representan por fuera, terminan ofendidos u ofuscados porque su ego se ve comprometido y comienzan a arremeter contra Hive, pero he ahí, Hive empodera a la persona que tiene pensamiento colectivo, a la persona que invita a las personas a consumir contenido pero les considera iguales, no meros «fanáticos» o «seguidores» que harán todo lo que uno diga solo porque tienes un nivel de prestigio por fuera.
Es el mismo ejemplo de que yo fuera súper influyente en Hive y fuera a Youtube o a Twitch a hacer contenido y me molestara porque la gente no consumiera mi contenido porque yo soy increíble en Hive, una cosa no tiene nada que ver con la otra, las plataformas tienen sus normas, sus dinámicas, etc y nuestro deber como creadores es adaptarnos a ello para poder crecer.
In our blockchain a very particular case of failure occurs in people who happen to be influencers in social networks of the 2.0 network because they have a different approach to what would be most in line with the philosophy of Hive; these are the so-called influencers or people who use their fame to create content since they have large audiences that follow the work they do.
Why do I say failure? Well simple, 2 particular cases that I know of -which I will not mention because later I will be denounced for misinformation- that have transited in Hive have left with an extremely negative opinion, seeking to destroy the work we do here and also, despite having a large audience and all their prestige dragged from their work in other social networks, they had no way to get their publications to have recognition here.
Now, why did this happen? I explain it, in a simple way -emphasizing again that it is my personal opinion- what I want to call the Paradox of Hive happened, which is nothing more than the fact that in Hive -unlike the social networks of web 2. 0 - there are no Creators and Consumers separately, since, basically, we are all creators and consumers at the same time.
So what does this mean? Simple again, our content creation approach should not be directed to an audience as if we were influencers, but should be directed to an audience that is also in charge of creating content, annexing the fact that we must consume the content of others, unlike other platforms such as Youtube, Twitch or Instagram where we don't really necessarily have to consume other content to be influencers.
People coming from the web 2.0 believe that they can come to Hive to make their own rules and place their own criteria above the collective criteria because they have their level of fame or influence outside, and they are actually right, but there are methods and there are times that need to happen to adapt to this dynamic in order to lay the foundation for it.
Then, not seeing the results fast and because of the pride of what they represent on the outside, they end up offended or obfuscated because their ego is compromised and they start to lash out against Hive, but behold, Hive empowers the person who has collective thinking, the person who invites people to consume content but considers them equals, not mere "fans" or "followers" who will do everything you say just because you have a level of prestige on the outside.
It's the same example of me being super influential on Hive and going to Youtube or Twitch to make content and getting upset because people don't consume my content because I'm awesome on Hive, one thing has nothing to do with the other, platforms have their rules, their dynamics, etc and our duty as creators is to adapt to that in order to grow.
La Libertad de Expresión | Freedom of Speech
Otra de las cosas que muchas personas dicen que es un factor negativo en Hive es el hecho de que no tenemos libertad de expresión porque se nos agrede o ataca por dar nuestras opiniones sobre algo, pero yo siempre he pensado que cuando uno tiene libertad de expresión, esto debe llevarse con responsabilidad porque si vas a utilizar tu libertad para insultar personas, mofarte, humillar o satirizar de una manera más allá de una mera «broma», debes aceptar las consecuencias que provienen de ello.
Un ejemplo, si yo tengo un voto de 2$ y yo veo que tú haces un post burlándote de mí y veo que tu post tiene recompensas, yo por supuesto que te voy a dar un downvote porque tú estás atentando contra mi imagen personal o estás agrediéndome directamente y yo estoy en desacuerdo con eso.
¿Que lo podría ignorar? Sí, es verdad, pero posiblemente me moleste que estés haciendo dinero a costa de burlarte de mí, por ende hago uso de mi derecho a la libre expresión para expresar mi descontento con tu post con un downvote.
Ahora, también he visto personas que se quejan del trabajo que hacen las ballenas, que no son piadosas, que votan contenido basura, que hacen cosas indebidas, que votan post sin calidad con 100$ y el mío que es increíble no llega ni a 1$ y les voy a decir algo, los curadores NO DEBEN votar su contenido porque ustedes sean grandes creadores, no existe garantía alguna ni existirá jamás.
¿Que no te gusta esa regla? Entonces debes tener el suficiente dinero para cambiarlas o crear tu propio proyecto de curación con tus propios criterios, todos tienen derecho a utilizar su dinero como quieran, siendo justo o no, cosa que realmente yo siempre lo he dicho: Hive no es justa en muchos casos y hay que aceptarlo.
Sin embargo, crecer en Hive es sencillo, yo de verdad no entiendo porqué las personas intentan buscarle la octava pata al gato por malicia, por envidia, por cualquier razón que les lleve a decir ¿por qué tú sí y yo no? Acá no hay deberes, existe el mérito, si, pero no existe una garantía de absolutamente nada, entonces lo único que nos toca como creadores es seguir adelante, seguir activos y seguir aportando hasta que se vuelva una diversión.
Another thing that many people say is a negative factor in Hive is the fact that we don't have freedom of speech because we are attacked or attacked for giving our opinions about something, but I have always thought that when you have freedom of speech, this must be carried with responsibility because if you are going to use your freedom to insult people, mock, humiliate or satirize in a way beyond a mere "joke", you must accept the consequences that come from it.
An example, if I have a $2 vote and I see that you make a post mocking me and I see that your post has rewards, I will of course give you a downvote because you are attacking my personal image or you are directly attacking me and I disagree with that.
That I could ignore it? Yes, that's true, but possibly it bothers me that you are making money by making fun of me, therefore I use my right to free speech to express my dissatisfaction with your post with a downvote.
Now, I have also seen people complaining about the work that whales do, that they are not merciful, that they vote junk content, that they do improper things, that they vote post without quality with 100$ and mine that is incredible does not even reach 1$ and I will tell you something, curators MUST NOT vote your content because you are great creators, there is no guarantee nor will there ever be.
You don't like that rule? Then you must have enough money to change them or create your own curation project with your own criteria, everyone has the right to use their money as they want, being fair or not, which I have always said: Hive is not fair in many cases and you have to accept it.
However, growing in Hive is simple, I really don't understand why people try to look for the eighth leg of the coin out of malice, envy, for any reason that leads them to say why you do and I don't? Here there are no duties, there is merit, yes, but there is no guarantee of absolutely nothing, so the only thing we have to do as creators is to keep going, keep active and keep contributing until it becomes fun.
Siembra Para Cosechar | Sow To Harvest
Este es el punto más importante de todos, siembra para cosechar en Hive porque de la misma forma como he expuesto mi punto de vista sobre lo que he planteado anteriormente, este punto es el que termina siendo nuestra sentencia como Hivers.
¿Por qué lo digo de esta manera? Simple, si tú siembras discordia, buscando una manera de desequilibrar la paz o la armonía en la cadena de bloques, es obvio que no te van a llover cosas buenas, acá no sirve la polémica o la controversia para obtener visitas o interacciones porque el odio no te lleva lejos en Hive, acá la gente apuesta por los que estén construyendo puentes y no los que estén cerrando puertas.
Entonces, como siempre lo he dicho, uno no tiene que callar sus diferencias o sus opiniones porque yo siempre he reflejado mis opiniones abiertamente y me he ganado enemigos por ello, pero no hace falta tener que ofender a nadie, no hace falta buscar generar caos o desinformar a las personas para generar polémica solo porque a tí te fue mal en Hive.
El hecho de que una persona haya tenido una mala experiencia en Hive, no implica que todos lo vayamos a tener, porque les puedo decir que tal vez ustedes piensen «claro, Ilaz es famoso por eso le va bien» pero déjenme decirles que hay personas menos conocidas que yo que ganan más y no hacen tantas cosas para apoyar a los demás.
Todos construímos nuestro camino y si realmente lo que vamos a hacer es tratar de tumbar el camino de los demás sin buscar de construir algo donde transitar, ya tenemos el resultado anticipado.

The fact that one person has had a bad experience in Hive, does not imply that we all will have it, because I can tell you that maybe you think "sure, Ilaz is famous so he does well" but let me tell you that there are people less known than me who earn more and do not do so many things to support others.
We all build our own path and if what we are really going to do is to try to knock down the path of others without trying to build something to walk on, we already have the anticipated result.
