Muchos de los que vivimos en la ciudad tenemos el privilegio de contar con todos los servicios, luz, gas, agua potable, aseo urbano, teléfono local, internet, transporte público, digo muchos y no todos. Porque en muchos lugares estos servicios no existen o son precarios y en algunos países del mundo son algo de lo que pueden disfrutar los privilegiados.

Aunque vivo en lo que algunos llaman una zona popular o humilde, aquí no había escasez o falla con el servicio de agua, llegaba dos o tres veces a la semana y al tener cada escalera un tanque, pues era muy, pero muy raro que no se contara con el vital líquido, la luz nunca fallaba, la basura la retiraban casi a diario y el gas hasta ahora nunca ha fallado.

Ahora bien, toda esta panorámica que les he expuesto es parte de mi desahogo, ya que actualmente algunos de estos servicios están fatales y eso afecta no solo mi calidad de vida, también mi paz interior, el que me tiene más estresada, actualmente es el agua, desde hace ya algunos años solo nos envían agua una vez a la semana y por aproximadamente dos días.

Como ya mencioné al tener un tanque, si cada vecino hace un uso racional y consciente del agua, esta dura aproximadamente hasta el jueves en la noche o viernes en la mañana, pero tengo una vecina, que lava hasta el mantel por manía, porque son de esas obsesivas que lavan por todo y nada, siendo que solo ella y su esposo viven allí, si tuvieran un niño pequeño lo justifico, pero siendo dos adultos ¿Qué tanto puedes ensuciar?

Por otro lado, además de la poca agua que ya envían y la desconsideración por parte de algunos vecinos, ya tenemos dos semanas que el agua ha fallado por diversas averías y eso nos ha afectado de una manera terrible, hace dos semanas el agua no tenía fuerza y no subió al tanque (sube por presión) hasta el domingo en la noche y ya el lunes en la mañana retiraron el servicio, como es ya costumbre o como es el cronograma actualmente.

Por si esto fuera poco, este fin de semana, la avería del Tuy II dejo sin agua a casi toda Caracas y al correspondernos el cronograma del fin de semana apenas colocaron agua unas horas en la madrugada del lunes y a las siete de la mañana ya no había agua y el tanque no se llenó, yo afortunadamente preferí hacer uso de una manguera que conecte a la toma del agua para regar las matas y llene unos envases, en los que suelo guardar agua para emergencias como estas, pero eso solo dura unos dos días lo que implica que habrá que esperar hasta el próximo fin de semana, en el cual espero nos surtan, cosa que no suele pasar en Carnavales, que es este próximo fin, espero estar errada.

Como consecuencia, estoy muy estresada, molesta y ansiosa por esta situación, todos los servicios son vitales, por ejemplo, para crear este contenido necesito tener, luz e internet, pero creo que uno de los principales servicios de los que todos deberíamos disfrutar con regularidad y calidad es el agua, ya es que es un recurso natural y vital para la vida, podemos vivir semanas sin alimento, dependiendo de la composición corporal, ambiente y sexo, pero el cuerpo humano solo puede sobrevivir entre dos y cuatro días sin agua.

Terminando, mientras escribía estas líneas, chateaba con una amiga para solicitarle el favor de poder ir a darme una ducha en su casa, también estoy investigando para colocar un tanque interno cilíndrico y así contar con un mayor suministro para ocasiones críticas y nefastas como esta, de verdad admiro a tantas personas que viven esta situación a diario y que deben caminar muchas veces kilómetros para conseguir algo de agua para cocinar y asearse un poco, me retiro, pero, por favor no duden en compartir conmigo sus experiencias personales en cuanto a los que aquí he compartido, estoy segura de que será algo enriquecedor, ya que es probable que algunos de ustedes vivan esta misma situación.

Many of us who live in the city have the privilege of having all the services, electricity, gas, drinking water, sanitation, local telephone, internet, public transportation, I say many and not all. Because in many places these services do not exist or are precarious and in some countries of the world they are something that the privileged can enjoy.

Although I live in what some call a popular or humble area, here there was no shortage or failure with the water service, it arrived two or three times a week and having each staircase a tank, it was very, very rare not to have the vital liquid, the light never failed, the garbage was removed almost daily and the gas until now has never failed.

Now, all this overview that I have exposed is part of my relief, as currently some of these services are fatal and that affects not only my quality of life, also my inner peace, the one that has me more stressed, currently is the water, for some years now only send us water once a week and for about two days.

As I already mentioned, if each neighbor makes a rational and conscious use of water, it lasts until Thursday night or Friday morning, but I have a neighbor who washes even the tablecloth because she is obsessive and washes everything and nothing, being that only she and her husband live there, if they had a small child I would justify it, but being two adults, how much can you dirty?

On the other hand, in addition to the little water that they already send and the inconsideration on the part of some neighbors, we already have two weeks that the water has failed due to several breakdowns and that has affected us in a terrible way, two weeks ago the water had no strength and did not go up to the tank (it goes up by pressure) until Sunday night and already on Monday morning they withdrew the service, as it is already customary or as it is the schedule nowadays.

As if this were not enough, this weekend, the breakdown of the Tuy II left almost all of Caracas without water and since the schedule for the weekend corresponded to us, they only put water for a few hours in the early hours of Monday morning and at seven in the morning there was no more water and the tank was not filled, Fortunately I preferred to make use of a hose that I connect to the water supply to water the plants and I filled some containers, in which I usually keep water for emergencies like these, but that only lasts about two days which means that we will have to wait until next weekend, in which I hope they supply us, something that does not usually happen in Carnival, which is this coming weekend, I hope I am wrong.

As a consequence, I am very stressed, upset and anxious about this situation, all services are vital, for example, to create this content I need to have, light and internet, but I think one of the main services that we should all enjoy regularly and quality is water, as it is a natural and vital resource for life, we can live for weeks without food, depending on body composition, environment and sex, but the human body can only survive between two and four days without water.

In closing, while I was writing these lines, I was chatting with a friend to ask her the favor of being able to take a shower at her house, I am also investigating to place a cylindrical internal tank and thus have a greater supply for critical and dire occasions like this one, I really admire so many people who live this situation on a daily basis and who must walk many times kilometers to get some water to cook and wash themselves a little, I am retiring, but please do not hesitate to share with me your personal experiences regarding what I have shared here, I am sure it will be something enriching, since it is likely that some of you live this same situation.
