Me complace saludarlos y presentarme el día de hoy en esta comunidad literaria. Mi nombre de pila es Ysbenitz Barrios y mi seudónimo, es Venus. Abrí mis ojos al mundo un jueves cálido, el 29 de septiembre en Caracas, Venezuela, cuando la luna sonreía desde el cielo.
Crecí entre artistas, es por esta razón, que me desenvolví muy bien, en el dibujo técnico y artística. Es por ello que estudio Diseño Gráfico.
I am pleased to greet you and introduce myself today to this literary community. My first name is Ysbenitz Barrios and my pseudonym is Venus. I opened my eyes to the world on a warm Thursday, September 29 in Caracas, Venezuela, as the moon smiled down from the sky.
I grew up among artists, it is for this reason that I developed very well in technical and artistic drawing. That is why I study Graphic Design.
Desde que comencé a formar parte del mundo del arte, ha sido tanta la pasión por escribir y por crear mundos diferentes, que sería maravilloso compartir mis escritos con ustedes, para que se enamoren cada vez más de las palabras y crean en su poder y su magia, para leerlos y disfrutar de cada emoción reflejada en sus escritos.
Since I began to be part of the art world, there has been such a passion for writing and creating different worlds, that it would be wonderful to share my writings with you, so that you fall more and more in love with words and believe in their power and their magic, to read them and enjoy every emotion reflected in their writings.
Actualmente, formo parte de varios grupos poéticos a nivel mundial, entre ellos, “Las Reinas del Sur”, con poetas venezolanas. A los Poetas del Sur y Oficio Puro, a la Casa del Poeta Reino Unido, a la Organización Mundial (sin fines de lucro) Iflac World, el cual fomenta la cultura, el arte y la paz en el mundo y donde soy Directora Regional Caracas – Venezuela y Directora General del Grupo de Diseño Pluma Creativa.
Lidero un grupo de escritores, ya que me dedico a publicar novelas en plataformas digitales; como coeditora, los oriento para que publiquen sus obras. Me he desenvuelto como creadora de contenido en las redes sociales, el marketing digital y manager de influencers.
Soy una mujer emprendedora, eterna enamorada de la vida y de los mágicos momentos que nos obsequian esas personas maravillosas con las que coincidimos en nuestro transitar en este mundo.
Currently, I am part of several poetic groups worldwide, among them, “Las Reinas del Sur”, with Venezuelan poets. To the Poets of the South and Oficio Puro, to the House of the United Kingdom Poet, to the World Organization (non-profit) Iflac World, which promotes culture, art and peace in the world and where I am Regional Director Caracas – Venezuela and General Director of the Pluma Creativa Design Group.
I lead a group of writers, since I am dedicated to publishing novels on digital platforms; As co-editor, I guide them to publish their works. I have worked as a content creator in social networks, digital marketing and influencer manager.
I am an enterprising woman, eternally in love with life and the magical moments that those wonderful people with whom we coincide in our journey in this world give us.
Me enamoré de las letras y la poesía, en bachillerato, gracias a mi profesora Dorsán Catalina Abello, quien ahora surca las nubes y me sonríe desde el cielo. Me inspira todo a mi alrededor, la naturaleza, el susurro del reloj y hasta el sonido de una mirada a destiempo.
Desde que escribí el primer poema, no he dejado de escribir y dedicar mis letras. A aquellos seres que se han ido los revivo a través de la palabra, cada vez que me arden las manos.
I fell in love with letters and poetry in high school, thanks to my teacher Dorsán Catalina Abello, who now flies through the clouds and smiles at me from the sky. I am inspired by everything around me, nature, the whisper of the clock and even the sound of a mistimed glance.
Since I wrote the first poem, I have not stopped writing and dedicating my lyrics. I revive those beings who are gone through words, every time my hands burn.
Mi inicio en la escritura fue en la adolescencia, pero fue en el 2017, cuando comenzó todo mi camino, profesional. Realicé varios talleres literarios, entre ellos, de narrativa en la Casa de Andrés Bello, en Caracas y, de poesía en la Librería del Sur, ubicada en el Teatro Teresa Carreño, con el poeta venezolano José Javier Sánchez.
Gracias a dos personas importantes en mi vida, di el gran paso, y no es que yo no quisiera vivir todo lo que hasta ahora he vivido, gracias a la poesía, sino que no sabía qué tan buenos podrían ser mis poemas, o si a la gente les gustaría, o no.
Me he inspirado también en el tema social y en películas, entre ellas, Maléfica y el Diario de una Pasión (Diario de Noah), me presenté en varias oportunidades y en el Eje del Buen Vivir, ubicado en Bellas Artes, en la Casa de Rómulo Gallegos o el CELARG, ubicada en Altamira, en la escuela SHEMOT, entre otros, presentando un performance poético titulado “Poesía en 7mo. Arte”, en compañía de otros poetas que conformaban “Poesía a la Carta”.
Fue entonces cuando comencé a participar en diferentes concursos, recitales y eventos a nivel nacional e internacional, de forma presencial y on line. A lo largo de estos años, he ganado concursos de poesía, entre ellos la publicación de mi poema “Coexistencia”, en la antología de 100 mujeres poetas, por la editorial colombiana 9 editores, en 2019. Luego, participé en un concurso de poesía erotico-romántica, en una página y grupo de Facebook, llamado “El Hombre sin Corazón”, donde también gané, en este caso con el poema “Mi Amante”, en ese momento me sentí súper feliz, el hecho de saber que un poema de mi autoría, fue elegido entre miles de concursantes, sentí un orgullo inmenso. Entre el premio, estaba la publicación de ese y otros poemas de mi autoría, en una antología, publicada este año 2023 por Círculo Rojo en Amazon y, el cual, ya se encuentra a la venta.
Este año 2023, sale al público mi primer poemario titulado “Huellas en el Tiempo”, por Editorial Sentinel. Este también fue un concurso que realizó esta editorial Argentina y donde gané la publicación de mis poemas, el pasado 2022.
Me he destacado en la narrativa, por lo que he escrito novelas del género romántico, mafia y fantasía disponibles en plataformas digitales, entre los que podría nombrar: “El Enigma del Talismán”, “El Arte de Amar el Peligro”, “De vuelta al amor”, “Una luna, un destino”.
My start in writing was in adolescence, but it was in 2017, when my entire professional path began. I did several literary workshops, including narrative workshops at the Casa de Andrés Bello, in Caracas, and poetry workshops at the Librería del Sur, located in the Teresa Carreño Theater, with the Venezuelan poet José Javier Sánchez.
Thanks to two important people in my life, I took the big step, and it's not that I didn't want to live everything that I have experienced until now, thanks to poetry, but that I didn't know how good my poems could be, or if they people would like it, or not.
I have also been inspired by social issues and films, including Maleficent and the Diary of a Passion (Noah's Diary), I performed on several occasions and at the Eje del Buen Vivir, located in Bellas Artes, in the Casa de Rómulo Gallegos or the CELARG, located in Altamira, at the SHEMOT school, among others, presenting a poetic performance titled “Poetry in 7th grade. Art”, in the company of other poets who made up “Poesía a la Carta”.
It was then when I began to participate in different competitions, recitals and events at a national and international level, in person and online. Throughout these years, I have won poetry contests, including the publication of my poem “Coexistencia”, in the anthology of 100 women poets, by the Colombian publishing house 9 editors, in 2019. Then, I participated in a poetry contest erotic-romantic, on a Facebook page and group, called “The Man Without a Heart”, where I also won, in this case with the poem “My Lover”, at that moment I felt super happy, the fact of knowing that a poem of my authorship, was chosen among thousands of contestants, I felt immense pride. Among the prize was the publication of that and other poems of my authorship, in an anthology, published this year 2023 by Círculo Rojo on Amazon and which is now on sale.
This year, 2023, my first collection of poems titled “Huellas en el Tiempo”, by Editorial Sentinel, is released to the public. This was also a contest held by this Argentine publishing house and where I won the publication of my poems, last 2022.
I have stood out in narrative, which is why I have written novels of the romantic, mafia and fantasy genre available on digital platforms, among which I could name: “The Enigma of the Talisman”, “The Art of Loving Danger”, “Back to love”, “A moon, a destiny”.
