Hola amigos de Hive, espero hayan tenido una feliz navidad, en unión familiar y con mucha alegría. Después de unas semanas desaparecido de esta comunidad, paso por aquí para contarles lo que fue mi cumpleaños #26 y la noche buena con mi familia.
Hello friends of Hive, I hope you had a Merry Christmas, with family togetherness and lots of joy. After a few weeks of being away from this community, I stop by to tell you about my 26th birthday and Christmas Eve with my family.
Cómo se podrán dar cuenta, nací un 24 de diciembre, así que tengo la dicha de compartir fecha con la noche buena de navidad. Durante mi vida he visto esto desde dos puntos de vista: el primero es bueno porque siempre he podido celebrar mi día en familia y como coinciden la fechas siempre he tenido una celebración de cumpleaños. El segundo punto de vista es el malo, ya que nunca he podido organizar una fiesta con mis amigos porque por lo general todos están reunidos con sus familias debido a la cena de navidad. Pero a pesar de esto, doy gracias a Dios por cumplir años en un día tan especial.
As you can see, I was born on December 24th, so I have the joy of sharing the same date with Christmas Eve. During my life I have seen this from two points of view: the first is good because I have always been able to celebrate my day with my family and since the dates coincide I have always had a birthday celebration. The second point of view is the bad one, because I have never been able to organize a party with my friends because they are usually all together with their families due to Christmas dinner. But despite this, I thank God for having a birthday on such a special day.
El 24 de diciembre no solo celebramos mi cumpleaños y la navidad, si no también el aniversarios de bodas de mis padres. Es por esto que siempre las celebraciones las hacíamos en mi casa. Desde hace como 5 años no nos reunimos toda la familia en mi casa el 24 de diciembre. Este año aprovechando que ya pasó la pandemia y que cada vez somos menos los que quedamos en el país, decidimos recuperar esa tradición y volver a celebrar la cena de navidad en mi casa. Todos los primos nos pusimos de acuerdo y creamos un grupo de WhatsApp donde nos íbamos dividiendo las tareas y los gastos. Contratamos una agencia de festejos para alquilar los mesones y las sillas para la cena, preparamos el menú, el cual era el típico plato navideño venezolano que contiene, hallacas, pernil, ensalada de gallina y pan de jamón. Y también nos pusimos de acuerdo para comprar el licor para animar la fiesta 🤣 Aparte de todo esto, mi torta de cumpleaños la iba a realizar mi hermana.
On December 24th we not only celebrated my birthday and Christmas, but also my parents' wedding anniversaries. That's why we always celebrated at my house. It has been about 5 years since the whole family got together at my house on December 24th. This year, taking advantage of the fact that the pandemic is over and that there are less and less of us left in the country, we decided to recover that tradition and celebrate Christmas dinner at my house again. All of us cousins agreed and created a WhatsApp group where we divided the tasks and expenses. We hired a catering agency to rent the tables and chairs for the dinner, we prepared the menu, which was the typical Venezuelan Christmas dish containing hallacas, pernil, chicken salad and ham bread. And we also agreed to buy liquor to liven up the party 🤣 Apart from all this, my birthday cake was going to be made by my sister.
El 23 de diciembre fueron llegando mis familiares de la ciudad de Maturin. El 24 desde muy temprano nos despertamos y salimos a comprar los últimos detalles que faltaban. Recibí muchas felicitaciones y desde temprano empecé a recibir los primeros regalos. Nos tocó inflar globos y decorar algunas cosas para la cena. A partir de las 7 de la noche fueron llegando los invitados y los familiares para la cena. Eramos al rededor de 27 personas. Cómo a las 9:30pm empezamos a cenar, todo estaba delicioso. Algo que me encanta de esta fecha es la comida tan rica. A las 11pm decidimos cantar cumpleaños y picar la torta. Es un momento muy lindo y que disfrute bastante, ojalá Dios me permita cumplir muchos años más.
On December 23rd my relatives from the city of Maturin were arriving. On the 24th we woke up very early and went out to buy the last details that were missing. I received many congratulations and early in the morning I started to receive the first gifts. We had to blow up balloons and decorate some things for dinner. From 7 p.m. onwards, the guests and family members arrived for dinner. We were around 27 people. Around 9:30pm we started dinner, everything was delicious. Something I love about this date is the delicious food. At 11pm we decided to sing birthday songs and cut the cake. It is a very nice moment and I enjoyed it a lot, I hope God will allow me to have many more years.
Después de las cena y el cumpleaños, solo nos quedaba esperar que se hicieran las 12pm para continuar con una de nuestras hermosas tradiciones, la cual es cantar aguinaldos y villancicos por el nacimiento del niño Jesús. Después de ésto nos sentamos a seguir tomando, hablando y compartiendo. Uno de mis tíos sacó un cuatro y se pusieron a cantar. Así estuvimos como hasta las 2:30am cuando todos se empezaron a ir.
After dinner and the birthday, we only had to wait for 12pm to continue with one of our beautiful traditions, which is to sing aguinaldos and carols for the birth of the baby Jesus. After this we sat down to continue drinking, talking and sharing. One of my uncles took out a cuatro and they started singing. We stayed like that until about 2:30am when everyone started to leave.
Para mí fue un día muy especial, todo salió bien, compartimos y disfrutamos en familia. Estoy muy agradecido con Dios por haber vivido ese momento. Ahora empiezo a escribir una nueva etapa en el nivel #26
For me it was a very special day, everything went well, we shared and enjoyed it as a family. I am very grateful to God for having lived that moment. Now I begin to write a new stage in level #26.
Espero que tengan unos dias de mucho amor, alegría, paz, abundancia y sobretodo de mucha salud para disfrutar de un nuevo año que ya casi se acerca. Felices fiestas y feliz año 2023 🤗🎇
