Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo que hice para una de mis amigas de Cumaná. Su nombre es María y también forma parte del Coro Sinfónico del Estado Sucre. Estoy muy feliz porque hacía mucho tiempo que no dibujaba y he podido volver a hacerlo. Además, era el cumpleaños de mi amiga y quería que este dibujo saliera lo mejor posible.

Once again, please receive my deepest thanks. I have no words to let you know how much all your expressions of affection and solidarity have meant to us.
Today, I want to share with you a drawing I made for one of my friends from Cumana. Her name is María and she is also part of the Symphonic Choir of the State of Sucre. I am very happy because it had been a long time since I had drawn and I was able to do it again. Besides, it was my friend's birthday and I wanted this drawing to turn out as well as possible.
Para la realización de este proyecto, combiné varias fotografías que nos habíamos tomado y utilicé solo lápices de colores.

For this project, I combined several photographs we had and used only colored pencils.
No buscaba como en otros proyectos que el dibujo fuera realista.

I was not looking for the drawing to be realistic as in other projects.
Opté por un estilo más de caricatura.

I tried a more cartoonist style this time.
Me llevó unas cuantas horas terminar el dibujo, pero el tiempo pasó volando. Disfruté mucho haciéndolo y recordando lo bien que lo pasamos en cada fotografía.

It took me a few hours to finish the drawing, but the time flew by. I really enjoyed doing it and remembering how much fun we had in each picture.
No quise reproducir los colores reales de cada momento, sino que dejé que un solo color predominará en toda la composición de cada escena.

I did not want to reproduce the real colors of each moment, but let one color predominate in the whole composition of each scene.
Añadí algunas frases que fueron parte de nuestra conversación por teléfono el día que recibí el diagnóstico acá en Caracas.

Luego, opté por llenar el fondo con una mezcla de colores vivos para darle alegría.

Then, I chose to fill the background with a mix of bright colors to highlight and brighten it up.

Quisiera poder hacerle uno a cada uno de mis amigos, pero será un trabajo de muuuuuchos días. Ya veré cómo hago.
Me siento muy dichosa de tener amigos como los que tengo y cada día valoro más esa y tantas otras bendiciones.
No se cómo estaré la semana que viene cuando empiece la fase de consolidación, pero los médicos me dicen que no será tan fuerte como la primera. Si me siento bien, seguiré dibujando y trabajando en muchas canciones que tengo en mente.

I would like to make one for each one of my friends, but it will take a lot of days. I'll see what I can do.
I feel so blessed to have friends like the ones I have and every day I value that and so many other blessings more and more.
I don't know how I will be next week when I start the consolidation phase, but the doctors tell me it won't be as strong as the first one. If I feel well, I will continue drawing and working on many songs I have in mind.

Meanwhile, my mommy and daddy were out grocery shopping and running other errands.
El día estaba nublado y ya habíamos
Escuchado que se esperaban lluvias fuertes, así que fue un poco estresante.
Tuvo que llevar un par de pantalones a arreglar porque perdió tantos kilos como yo durante nuestra estadía en el hospital y los pantalones le quedan grandes ahora.

The day was cloudy and we had already heard that heavy rain was expected, so it was a bit stressful.
Mom had to take a pair of pants to get altered because she lost as many pounds as I did during our hospital stay and the pants are now too big for her.
Por suerte, ya estaban de vuelta cuando cayó la lluvia.
Luckily, they were back before it started raining.
Apenas se podía ver el paisaje desde la ventana.
We could hardly see through the window.
La noche será más fría que de costumbre, pero tratamos de disfrutar cada momento, hoy más que nunca.

Espero pronto estar totalmente curada y volver con toda mi energía a hacer todas las cosas que me gustan.
