Hola, comunidad de Hive. Se que les prometí subirles ayer el resumen de mi último primer día, pero la verdad estaba tan cansada al terminar el día, que no pude escribir nada.

Hello, Hive community. I know I promised to upload the summary of my last first day yesterday, but the truth is that I was so tired at the end of the day, that I couldn't write anything.
El día empezó con un poco de retraso, me quedé dormida y me tenía que arreglar rápido porque mi transporte llegaría en media hora. Y en tiempo record tenía todo listo para salir. Mi mamá no me pudo acompañar pero me tomo unas fotos saliendo.
Al llegar al colegio, nos formaron afuera. Nos dieron el típico discurso sobre el uniforme y esas cosas y nos dieron unas palabras de "aliento" o algo así. Cantamos el himno nacional, el del colegio y rezamos el padre nuestro. Al entrar a nuestro nuevo salón nos llevamos la grata sorpresa de que, en lugar de pupitres, teníamos escritorios, lo cual fue una mejora bastante linda.

The day started a little late, I overslept and had to get ready quickly because my transportation would arrive in half an hour. And in record time I had everything ready to leave. My mom couldn't come with me but she took some pictures of me leaving.
When we got to school, they lined us up outside. They gave us the typical speech about the uniform and stuff and gave us some words of “encouragement” or something like that. We sang the national anthem, the school anthem and said the Lord's Prayer. When we entered our new classroom we were pleasantly surprised to find that instead of chairs we had desks, which was a nice improvement.
Nos recibió nuestro profesor de GHC, al que ya conocíamos y solo hablamos acerca del nuevo horario, los nuevos cambios del colegio, los profesores que por alguna razón decidieron dejar la institución, etc.

We were greeted by our GHC teacher (Geography/History/Social Studies), whom we already knew and we just talked about the new schedule, the new changes in the school, the teachers who for some reason decided to leave the institution, etc.
Luego de eso tuvimos nuestro receso y luego una misa. Sin contar el calor que hacía, y cabe aclarar que hacia mucho calor, no estuvo tan mal. Al salir tuvimos otro receso y al terminar nos tocaba clase con uno de los mejores profesores que hemos tenido, el profe Ernestico (se llama Ernesto, pero todos le decimos Ernestico). Solía ser nuestro profesor de física, y no le correspondía darnos clase este año, pero nos recibió con la grata sorpresa de que sería nuestro no tan nuevo profesor de matemáticas. Jamás había estado tan feliz, fue increíble. Conversamos, nos dio los títulos de los temas que estaríamos viendo este lapso y luego hicimos un quiz rápido online, y quedé en primer lugar, fue muy divertido.

After that, we had our break and then a mass. Not counting the heat, and it is worth mentioning that it was very hot, it was not too bad. When we left we had another recess and at the end we had a class with one of the best teachers we have ever had, Prof. Ernestico (his name is Ernesto, but we all call him Ernestico). He used to be our physics teacher, and it was not his turn to teach us this year, but he greeted us with the pleasant surprise that he would be our not-so-new math teacher. I had never been so happy, it was unbelievable. We chatted, he gave us the topics we would be studying this term and then we did a quick quiz online. I came in first place, it was so much fun.
A diferencia de otros primeros días, este se sintió algo diferente, algo más corto, se sintió cómodo. Ya nos conocemos, ya vivimos las experiencias del bachillerato y solo estamos en la recta final lo cual me causo una sensación de alegría y nostalgia. Pero se sintió bien a final de cuentas. Se que quizás no fue muy interesante pero fue lindo.

Unlike other first days, this one felt a little different, a little shorter, it felt comfortable. We already know one other, we already lived the high school experiences and we are only in the final stretch, which made me feel both happy and nostalgic. But it felt good at the end of the day. I know it may not have been very interesting but it was nice.
Continué el día con algo de dolor emocional supongo. Al llegar a casa me sentí algo cansada y no se porque, tal vez sea algo mental, pero luego de quedarme dormida otra vez y casi llegar tarde otra vez, empecé mi curso de química. Luego llegué a casa para descansar un rato con un extraño cansancio y una sensación de que tal vez las cosas salgan bien este año.
Me siento positiva acerca de este último año, y esperanzada sobre el futuro que me espera luego. Pero por ahora, queda disfrutar el día a día.

I continued the day with some emotional pain I guess. When I got home I felt a little tired and I don't know why, maybe it's a mental thing, but after falling asleep again and almost being late again, I started my chemistry tutoring. Then I came home to rest for a while with a strange tiredness and a feeling that maybe things will go well this year.
I feel positive about this past year, and hopeful about the future that awaits me next. But for now, it's just enjoying the day to day.
