Time And What It Means To me

I would never have met time if the Hands of My Creator have not placed me in it. He took me from eternity, where there was neither beginning or ending, and brought me to a portion on the other side of eternity.

As I began to journey through time, I began to see that it is one thing that waits for no man. For it moves and never looks back to know if I am moving with it or not.

For me, time began the day I was born. It continues to count with every passing day and night. As it counts, it keeps going and never looks back.

Inside time, I have met with opportunities. Some I grabbed without thinking too long about it. But the ones I hesitated over, time took away and I wonder, how will I ever get them back?

One thing that fascinates me about time, is how quickly it can change. As it changes I find myself in different seasons. The seasons of joy, I want to continue without end. But the seasons of pain, it seems like time drags, or is it just my imagination?

Sitting to watch the hands of the clock ticking away, or the sand passing through the hourglass is even a waste of time... For every second, or even millisecond that I do nothing is wasted and gone forever.

With this in mind, I push myself hard, seeing that just as time began, surely it must have an end. But then, there is only so much that I can do. For I am only human.

Therefore, in conclusion, I say that time is a precious gift given to me, but how I treat it will determine the dividends that it will deliver to me. And one wise thing I do is to always pray to God who brought me here to give me wisdom in my use of time, to give me understanding of times and seasons so that I will know what to do, and to help me recognise the opportunities that time brings each day that I am here.
