Double World Rally Championship event winner from 2026, Takamoto Katsuta, for sure wants win at his home round - at Rally Japan. He doesn't want to disappoint his fans at home, that's for sure. Therefore he will take all the confidence boost from wins this season to come there and try to add another win to his belt.
Katsuta was always very strong on tarmac which he showed recently at Rally Croatia with the win. On the other hand, Japanese event is very different, with not that much dirt on the tarmac as in Croatia.
I am sure that he will perform well. The only thing is the nerve. He will have to keep his nerves cool until the last moment of rally, otherwise anything is possible.
